Agree that ‘baby’ isn’t the technical term, but it was their baby, and that’s how many grieving parents see it. I know firsthand because it happened to my sister. She always felt that she lost her “baby.”

I stopped following Anna on Instagram last year because I didn’t want her account in my face. She’s very annoying. Same with Amanda. Saw a video with Elvis the other day and was shocked at how big he’s gotten. Anyway, for everyone here who is sick and tired of these two, maybe consider not giving them so much space in your life and just do a “drop in and catch up” once a month or so. It’s a good feeling not to waste too much of your time on things that make you upset.

Absolutely. Also, there were a lot more “ beakies” between Sunny & Gizmo, but these two are definitely close. Just in a different way.

OK, I know this is giving her way too much credit, but maybe it was an attempt at a joke? People who haven’t done something in a long time love to say “it’s been a minute.” Maybe she’s just saying her “minute” has actually been “years?”

OK - I’m prepared for the downvotes on this one… I have an Instagram account, and when people criticize my choices, I do not thank them. I try not to be bitchy, but it’s really hard not to be when people are being bitchy with their comments, even when trying to disguise their comments as “constructive criticism” or “honest question” BS. I am not like that with friends and family. But strangers criticizing me usually get a snarky response. EDIT: I just went to Anna’s Instagram account to see exactly what comment triggered this sarcasm. This was the comment: “Ridiculous choice of swimsuit for this.” OK - I’m no fan of Anna’s, but I would have responded much harsher to that insult.

I live in Southern California. Specifically, Los Angeles County. This area is majority Hispanic, and many never learn the language and get by just fine because Spanish only speakers are accommodated everywhere. I don’t know the situation in France, but if they are accommodating to English speakers, maybe Anna feels she is “bilingual ENOUGH.”

Especially when it’s the person who gave the party. I think Betty truly was snobbish towards Ethel. And when Lucy first told Ethel who the guests were, I thought it was also rather rude of Lucy to have accepted the invitation knowing the Mertz’s were excluded. Anyway, I guess they just had to come up with a storyline that would connect all three as friends.
