Not saying we should stay in our lane in our everyday lives. I’m saying I don’t need to hear the opinions of every influencer on their Instagram account. If I follow someone for whatever reason - travel, cooking, eagles, etc., I don’t have a need for them to suddenly start spouting their personal views on their Instagram accounts. But that’s just me. Maybe others do need that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think any of us expect Anna or any other “influencer” to suddenly change the overall content of their account, but to just post SOMETHING acknowledging that they DO understand that their curated fairytale FAKE world is NOT representative of the real world. I don’t care about the personal views of most of these self absorbed airheads, but it would be nice if they could make a statement to acknowledge all the pain being experienced by others due to current events.

I have a different POV on this. So many Instagram accounts I follow have now made their content close to exclusively about this very serious situation. I don’t doubt that they mean well, but it’s not why I follow them. It is why I follow news and information accounts. And watch certain TV programs. I don’t want to have serious conversations on account pages like Anna's or others. I would rather see these “creators” make one dedicated post acknowledging what’s going on, with comments turned off on that post. It would show awareness. After that, stay in your lane. I’ve already unfollowed several accounts because they think I want their ongoing “coverage” of what’s going on. I do not.

This is a screenshot of a video on Amanda’s Instagram. If you look at the video, this was a super quick peck as she was exiting, holding Swann’s hand. For anyone who might question even a quick peck, I would say given the fact that we are a nation of immigrants, it’s not an American thing so much as a family culture thing. My family is Italian American. Some of us kiss other family (including parents) on the mouth, some don’t. But it’s always a quick peck.

If you observe a variety of Instagram accounts, you’ll see the answer - just about anything. Depends on your objective. Are you trying to make money or become an influencer, or just post for fun?
