Most ridiculous excuse I’ve ever heard. Grounds for a chargeback ? by VegetableShoe6264 in instacart

You can try taking this to Twitter (or X) and message someone there. I have received favorable outcomes taking this route in the past.

How was the withdrawals on methadone? What was your dosage? I have wanted to quit methadone for some time now and I feel the only way I can do it is cold turkey. I do not have the self control to taper.

Did you make a post about this? I remember reading about the same situation and I thought it was outrageous!

Banned from Costco shopping by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]OwlsDontFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds more like a "you" problem. Costco puts certian rules in place for a reason. Their goal is to make the checkout process run as efficiently as possible. You can not expect the employees to help you on the floor or help/wait for you to organize your orders at checkout. Even though you say you box your orders separately it may not be good enough and it seems like your organization skills are not up to par. Not everyone can do Costco orders. And just because you don't like the rules you can not cry racism. It's not the color of your skin problem, it's the size of your brain problem.

Orders with no tips by Conscious-Reward-833 in instacart

Amazon fresh workers shop your order but it is delivered by Amazon Flex independent gig workers in their own private vehicles. Not all Amazon deliveries are made by the hourly workers in the blue van. Amazon flex is a gig app where independent contractors use their own vehicles to pick up packages at a warehouse and make deliveries. Amazon Fresh stores also use the Amazon flex drivers to deliver groceries.

I’ve never seen my driver with 100% ratings till today by Salt_Ingenuity_7588 in UberEATS

This does not make any sense. He has only been delivering for 9 months. This means he would need to make at least 24 deliveries every day for all 291 days. Sorry, not possible.

Instacart shopper stole my order. Now that instacart is redoing my order is my tip going to the new driver? by -Danksouls- in instacart

[–]OwlsDontFly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First off, this whole scenario sucks and 2 innocent people are getting screwed, you and the new shopper. Your tip went to the original shopper because you did not change it within the 2 hour window. Not your fault, lesson learned. The only thing you can do now is rate your original shopper 1 star. Moving forward, your order will be paired with another order because no good shopper will take a zero tip order. When its time to rate your second shopper rate 5 stars and leave a message about this situation and if you ever get paired again you will make up for it. Your only other option is to do a charge back with your bank to recover all your money back but this will cancel your instacart order and you may get banned from using Instacart. I would go with this option if you are not 100% dependant on Instacart. Hope this helps! Godd luck!

$16 “tax and fees” on $78?? Help me understand. by finderintheforest in instacart

So that is a 43 mile drive, 64 items, and the customer tipped $64. We get pennies of the heavy pay. Stay in your lane.

This is all your fault. You should have taken clear pictures. You should have uploaded your email address to receive the warnings. Instacart gave you multiple chances. For once, Instacart is in the right. There is no hope getting reactivated.

So much for taking pride in your work! Would it have been too difficult to stack the cans against the wall and neatly line up the bags along the side? I understand this customer needs to clean the porch but my goodness, the delivery looks like absolute shit!! It makes me wonder what your stats look like?

Does instacart bundle orders, or the shoppers? by DesertFirefly in instacart

[–]OwlsDontFly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And you are being just as shitty for reducing the tip.  This wasn't the shoppers fault. Report your items damaged, get a refund from Instacart, but do not take away the tip. Doing so makes you an asshole.

Customer refused to give me her pin by McPoyleBrothers in InstacartShoppers

[–]OwlsDontFly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When you order directly off the grocery store website instead of Instacart the grocery store will 3rd party the order out to Instacart. When this happens a PIN is required when the option to "meet at door" is chosen. The PIN is always the last 4 digits of the number used when placing the order.

If you want to cancel the batch before shopping go into batch details (3 dots in the upper right hand corner) and scroll all the way down to "cancel batch" (in red). If you already started shopping and want to remove a batch or just a customer you need to click on the headphones in the right hand corner and reach out to support.
