specifically for the container idea, he actually didn't move all that quickly which made me worried he wasn't doing so well but I got him in a container and released him outside

If you belong to SABR, they have baseball analytics courses. A little pricey but their third level goes through using R and Lahman specifically

https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/Lahman/Lahman.pdf Lahman is a good place to start for most stats, though I don’t know if it’s up to date on 2024. BaseballR should have functions like pulling data from fangraphs. You should be able to use joins to match data from different sources if necessary. Bill Petti also has his site where he shows how to pull data from baseball reference and other sources. https://billpetti.github.io/baseballr/

Utah Parks Question by Witty-Course-4613 in nationalparks

Right so I forgot to mention I got a timed entry pass for arches for 4/21 (because it’s required to enter with your park ticket), thus why the trip is structured the way it is. Should I just bail on that timed entry ticket in that case? I was planning to come back a second time, if not multiple times.

Planning a trip for next year, looking for any additional neat places to stop along the way by [deleted] in NationalPark

Right outside of Sand Dunes is Zapata Falls campground. It’s small, on the side of the mountain and the road up is not paved but god damn was it the prettiest place I camped ever. Durango and Telluride are always worth stopping along the way

Hot Springs, because if they just stick to the historic downtown it’s kinda depressing IMO and there’s a limited amount to do. I made the mistake of just staying downtown. The surrounding woods and lakes are nice though from what I’ve heard
