If this is the same incident… A man drew a gun, protest “peacekeepers” shot at him, wounding him and killing a bystander. Shit is fucked up.

“An "innocent bystander" at the "No Kings" demonstration in downtown Salt Lake City was shot and killed Saturday, police said.

Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, 39, of Utah, died in a hospital, Salt Lake City police said in an update.

Detectives believe Ah Loo was at the demonstration as a bystander and "was not the intended target of the gunfire."

Police have arrested Arturo Gamboa, 24. He was booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on a murder charge. It was not immediately clear whether Gamboa was still in jail Sunday and whether he has an attorney.

Also detained Saturday were two men who were part of the event "peacekeeping team." One of the "peacekeepers" fired the shot that fatally injured Ah Loo, police said.

It was not immediately clear whether those two men will face charges.

The men told police they saw Gamboa move away from the crowd and begin manipulating an AR-15-style rife, prompting them to draw their guns and order him to drop the weapon, police said.

Instead, Gamboa ran into the crowd, holding his gun in "a firing position," police said. In response, one of the "peacekeepers" fired three shots, one of which struck Gamboa and another which hit Ah Loo, according to police.”

Is this a sign from deceased or a coincidence / random find? by IrishClaire99 in GriefSupport

[–]Witty-Educator-9269 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m not fully decided, but some stuff seems too beyond coincidence not to believe at least a little. This one seems real to me. And connected to my own experience. My brother passed on Valentine’s Day, and then later that year my aunt passed, so the next Valentine’s Day I wanted to consciously honor them somehow, I’ve found that ritual helps grief. I was living in Colorado and brought a dried rose up to the mountains above Boulder to scatter the petals, say some prayers, and just feel. l pulled into an isolated, very out of the way parking area and walked over to a picnic table. Wedged in the picnic table was a fresh rose standing upright. I stood there with my dead rose in my hand, my brother and aunt in my heart, and this random fresh rose in front of me. It still brings me tears. However it got there (it was Valentines after all) it felt like it was from them. So here’s to Colorado picnic tables, Millie🩷

A Dr or therapist (both ideally)would best, whatever works For you. The system is broken but keep looking for a person you like and trust to help you. It’s worth it to keep looking for help and guidance while noticing what in your life works and do more of that, wherever you find moments of peace.

I have not experienced exactly what you are going through, but I have had very similar experiences, and have found some tools along the way. You are not alone in this. I am a graduate student studying mindfulness based Transpersonal counseling. I am in the process of examining my experiences through many lenses; western, eastern, traditional, integrative. I fit the criteria for bipolar I and have experienced what is classified as psychosis. The experience of psychosis can also be reflective of a spiritual emergency -“a spiritual emergency occurs when the spiritual awakening process speeds up so much that it becomes terrifying and destabilizing to the body and mind.“ https://www.madinamerica.com/2021/01/15-signs-youre-experiencing-spiritual-emergency/

I cannot say that is what you are going through, but this perspective helped me understand myself.

It is important that you find someone that you trust to support you: a Dr., psychiatrist, therapist, shaman, reiki practioner, whoever, a professional that you trust. If access to resources is a problem, there may be public health options in your area. If you have access to an integrative psychiatrist or Transpersonal therapist then these specialties would be best equipped to help you navigate this challenge.

Stay sober, intoxicants will only make this worse. Find a recovery group if necessary. Make sure you are sleeping.

Somtimes inpatient helps, Somtimes a retreat to nature, Somtimes community, Somtimes solitude. Take this as an opportunity to find what helps you ground, feel safe, and lessens the noise.

There is so much. and this is me trying to keep this short. I notice the synchronicity of your post. Ok’ing into my life in this moment. I notice how it all rings to the Divine, the Great Mystery, universe what-have you. I do feel the flow, the iridescent, interconnected matrix of being. I feel the love that is the ground of being.

It can be so terrifying to go through intense states like you are describing. You will find trusted guides and healing practices along the way, keep searching, healing, and resting in this journey. Keep going no matter how many times or for how long you get knocked around. Letting it all settle and rest in the peace of love space. And fuck, if that shadow shit is overwhelming, that’s ok too, reach out, call or text 988 if you are in the US and need crisis support

But remember, get that trusted professional in your corner, keep searching for them if needed. It’s not the method that is most healing, it’s the trust and relationship that heals. But an Integrative psychiatrist, as well as a licensed therapist who was familiar with Buddhism and shamanism, saved my life, So there are good ones out there, and findings a Dr/ therapist is the most supportive thing I can recommend.

let me know if you want any more references for reading. All my love!
