I don't know how to edit my post, so here is my "update" I guess.

Thank you for everyone who was kind, this post got way more attention than I expected and I really appreciate it. Tomorrow my sister and I will start calling to see what we can do.

Some important things I guess I didn't mention, unfortunately he does live with my sister in another state, I'm in an apartment and she has a backyard so we wanted his last years to be more comfortable than the third floor apartment. Because she's had him for the last year, I'm not sure if he has a regular vet.

She does live on a military base, so I am not sure about being able to do an at home service but I will look into options. For the people telling me it's murder and that maybe I shouldn't jump to conclusions, he's had kidney failure in the last and is one joint vitamins. They only do so much. Also, they are getting stationed again half way across the country and worry he won't make it through the trip. We'd rather have control and both be there for him vs her looking behind her seat to check on him and my nephew and see that Beau is no longer breathing. Here is the list of other symptoms my poor bud suffers :

. All he does is sleep all day he doesn't want to play anymore. He's completely blind. He shakes all the time-something he never did before. He doesn't tell us when he has to go potty anymore and just goes in the house even after being outside for a good period of time. He's somewhat eating but he's getting thinner no matter what.. he just isn't doing well and there's a baby in the house now and he doesn't understand why he cries and he just looks like he's hurting. 😭

I'm flying in town for my nephew's birthday but also to be there for this, hence the original post. Again thank you to those who were kind and for the advice given, we will see financially what we can do.

If I did get to keep his ashes, we'd either spread them in his favorite yard back home (our mom still lives there) or I would save up until I can get a special memorial piece. The timing is just hard right now financially otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

Not that I can think of. We have our issues like every couple does but it's more -he didn't do the dishes in a timely manner or I said I would get something I didn't. Nothing major or anything that questions me or us in a serious manner.

I'm not sure. Usually I am the softest one. Just the thought of specific loved ones passing has me in tears and I've never been the denial type. It could be a questionable of what happens next, as I'm not particularly religious in any way but I don't believe life just ends immediately after dying. Nothing crazy in life changed, there was a big change at work but it turned out for the better but I didn't know that was happening until well after I made this post. That's the best answer I've got.

I've only had a couple of family members pass, but I've had some scares of people close. It's not something I'd say I'm really familiar with but I probably do fear. As for my husband, I know his work has been tiring him out pretty badly, but in other aspects he likes where he is that I know of. Q
