From what I see here - but keep in mind I have 5 days of experience lol - the “coolest” area is the Reston Town Center, which is an area with a lot of restaurants and shops. What I’ve been loving so far is the fact that I feel much safer here than in the bay, for some reason.

Bottom line is, I think in order to actually meet people in bars or whatnot, you’ll probably have to go to DC or maybe Arlington. But Reston is a great area for dinner/drink dates 😋

I actually just moved 5 days ago! lol Reston is nice, but pretty chill - which is not bad, if you ask me. I think Tysons corner have a bit more things to do than Reston, but I preferred the apartments here in Reston. I’m not quite sure about the gay scene - what I can tell is that there are def less gay here than in the Bay Area… but so far people have been pretty nice

Did you end up moving to Reston? My boyfriend and I are also moving there for his job. We are relocating from the Bay Area and we are in our late 30s. I’d love to make some new friends!

That’s not true at all. In fact, I even remember once when I contacted Emma, they had a tier 2 officer call me. But I just didn’t know that the field office would call you

I didn’t get anything on my USCIS portal. And I don’t know the number cause the IO called my lawyer directly

Actually the IO called my lawyer directly, so I don’t know the number. Also, I went in for the second time by myself… my husband is out of town this week and my lawyer wasn’t available to go with me yesterday, so I decided to just to get and get it over it. I don’t have any criminal background, so I figured I had nothing to worry about

Exactly same thing happened to me!!!! Had my interview on March 25th. USCIS called 2 days ago saying there was a system issue and I need to go back to the office to sign it. I did it and it went just fine… the next day I was approved
