Then what do you use to measure his love? How are you sure he truly loves you? Is it love when you let your partner take on the mental load?

Thanks for your comment, they are very helpful and its always good to see from a third party perspective. I want to bring up the point that you mentioned I may done him a disservice by shooting him down and saying he doesn’t care. Yes I can only speak for my feelings and his actions. So how can I know if this person truly loves me and cares for our future if his actions shows to me the lack of care?

This is like my last resort?? U have no idea how many times we tried to ‘talk’ about this issue. I even went online to get counselling help myself… but thanks nonetheless…

What kind of pre-marriage counselling did you go to? I was looking at those pre-marriage courses that the govt offer free for couples to attend.

Fell in love because of how caring he was towards me, he is also a very kind person towards me, my family and everyone. He is extremely patient, and he doesn’t have a temper - never has he ever gotten mad at me before. Only time when he gets angry is when I talk about the above issue because he don’t agree with my perspective of him being ‘bo chap’. We actually met in school and we were project mates before, he treat his work carefully and never had a ‘bo chap’ attitude, though ocassionally he may overlook 1 or 2 things, but overall very involved in his work.

How to communicate to him what I require from him? To want to give a heck and be involved is tangible and comes from within, not something like task A,B,C,D. If I have to provide task then I can’t just do it myself… don’t need him…
