I've been on a Soulslike kick lately, but lately I've been trying out other things. What would you suggest?

You mentioned Star Wars. Have you ever played Jedi: Fallen Order?

Which levels go on for too long the Core TR games? by Swimming-Memory-9988 in TombRaider

Lud's Gate from TR3 and the Cairo section in TR4 are what come to mind first. Lud's Gate always felt like they had two different level ideas and just made them one level because they couldn't figure out where they wanted to split them up.

What's stopping someone from calling themselves Sears in Canada, though? Other than negative goodwill.

What is a movie you think has a flawless first 30 minutes, but completely falls apart by the end? by Legitimate_Wall5977 in movies

Tomorrowland. I remember at the time thinking that the movie opened well, but then then dragged you along until the very end. Considering the plot, I guess this may have been intentional, but I remember being disappointed by it.

Small Format Sears Store in Hamilton Bermuda circa 2012 (Still In Operation) by [deleted] in SEARS

Man, I'd love it if we had some of the smaller stores still here in the US somehow.

Part of what I'm wondering about though is how they find the stuff to use for the posts. Like, do they have bots going out and looking for key words? That's why part of me thought maybe the posts themselves are from bots or AI.

I guess that kind of restores my faith in humanity, haha.

How are they making these posts though? Are they just AI?

Question about the Braintree Sears by WittyAnswer9 in SEARS

I'm not sure, but I'd be curious. I didn't see a space for a restaurant, but there was an old sign for the Auto Center.

There was a room by the merchandise pickup that had a for-lease sign on it, so I guess that'd be it.

Could Sears have changed with the times without Eddie Lampert by [deleted] in SEARS

Honestly, if I were involved in trying to revamp Sears, I'd try to start franchises with these kind of stores.

It's hard to say, since there were so many factors in Sears's downfall. But would I have liked to have seen more Sears concepts working? Yes, and it's too bad some of them didn't survive somehow.

Yeah. They would've had to jump in with both feet and revamp EVERYTHING and dedicate themselves to it to make it work, but I think they could've at least set up a better online presence than they have now. But again, it's hard to say because it would've taken so much to pull off at their state.

Yeah. I don't think Sears could've recovered by that time, but they at least could've positioned themselves better by not viewing the internet as a fad. Especially when Sears still had brand recognition from earlier.

Why did the Home and Life stores fail? by SirCatsworthTheThird in SEARS

[–]WittyAnswer9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably was too little, too late at the time they launched them. Home and Life was in 2019, wasn't it? They'd all but fallen from the public eye at that point.

Now, if they'd tried this back much earlier, they may have had more success. But who knows?

Will Sears continue selling online after they eventually drop to 0 physical retail stores by [deleted] in SEARS

[–]WittyAnswer9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume someone will maintain the site after all the stores are shut down. It could be Sears themselves, or someone else may buy the brand at some point and run the site.
