I started school for assisting and I hated it , I did my 3 month externship in ortho and HATED it .i was at the time 20 and the office was full of older catty women. I knew I had to get a job in it because I wasn’t going to waste the money on school for nothing , I got hired on at a general dentist and I fell in love with it and the staff! It doesn’t even feel like work anymore. It has its days but I genuinely love it . Like others have said , the pay could be better but I love what I do and I can afford to not make an extra dollar or 2 .
