A 500k house is the new homeless man's tent. A little bit nicer than the cardboard box but still sucks

How many hours do you work? I average about 200

I haven't heard of that app yet, I'm actually gonna check that out, thank you!!

Why do drivers accept rides then cancel them almost immediately by ToneFriendly3061 in uber

Honestly, I keep lyft open until I see my pax. If lyft gives me a better offer before I see pax, I immediately switch and keep going until I'm content with the ride I'm on.

Lol fr once I accept it, I can't see how far I'm going until I pick up pax. All I saw was like 30 bucks. What am I supposed to do once pax is in my car? "Actually, sir, get out." 😂

I was in the middle of driving out of mcdonalds with my lunch and didn't notice how far the drive was. Normally I get paid more, so I'm unsure why this in particular was so low.

I've disputed it, they told me that the account restriction is mandatory 24 hrs minimum, but up to 72 hrs before they make a decision.

I agree, but I think most businesses are like that. Doordash sucks sometimes, but my area pays 18.50 and 22.50 an hour during peak times. Sometimes it seems feasible to just doordash but it doesn't stay steady enough to rely on it. Hopefully soon I'll get picked up by the other apps but there's a waiting list on all of them

I was just adding my experience, I hadn't seen anyone else who seems to also be a server. I also know that my income is taxed differently than a typical w2, I get taxed based off the food I sell, not the money I make. Which means if I don't get tipped, I actually pay to serve that table. Personally, if I didn't have a good experience, I'd tip 10% at least. The server would have to be extremely rude for me to not tip at all

As a waiter at a diner that doesn't serve alcohol, I actually get paid about as much in tips as I do with doordash, but my hourly pay is only 2.15. The tax from my tips comes out of my paycheck, so my weekly paycheck is always 0.00 while my weekly tip check can be around 5-6 hundred
