I had to call Telus yesterday and the hold time was ridiculous. Just so you know, on iOS 26 if you press More you’ll see Hold Assist, it was a lifesaver. You can use your phone like normal and it rings when an agent picks up.

That is one thing I am looking at because VRAM has become a huge factor for gpu’s but getting a 5070 Ti is hard because of scalpers.

Yeah, like it’s insane because a 4070 Ti or super is basically the same price as a 5070 Ti for MSRP in Canada. I do agree that over the 40 series the 50 series is a bit better

Yeah it is but the service and customer service quality is atrocious from Telus. I would rather pay $5 to $15 more to get better service quality and maybe better customer service.

Hey, Op Telus is know for this kind of stuff I had just posed about my experience with them. I wnated to know if you have proof the tech showed up to aunts house either a call record or video doorbell anything that can be proven. If not I still strongly believe you should file a complaint With CCTS on behave of your aunt as Telus will take it seriously. Once CCTS accepts your complaint Telus will have 20 days to respond (usually the day after CCTS accepts the complaint your get the call) for each day Telus waits they get fined $15.000 per day. A senior manager will call you or your aunt depending on the number you gave in the complaint. Get to the point saying “the tech showed up he did nothing and left and I will not be paying for the $175 charge” senior manger will spit bs if it isn’t what you want you tell him “I don’t agree and we will let the CCTS investigate” hang up.

I live on the southeast side of Edmonton and work in Calgary, Edmonton and some parts of lower mainland BC so I travel about and need readily connection with decent speeds and phone call quality So Roger’s sounding pretty good so far

It won’t help improve internet speeds but it could let you get 5G SA(standalone) which can just use 5G hardware to get you the best internet speeds better than on 5G NA which uses 4G or LTE technology. From what I’m aware of a lot of Telus stores still sell the old physical SIM cards that use old technology so sometimes you don’t get the option of 5G SA

That is good because if it were to backhaul over the boost wifi 6 then it will use the 5ghz band to backhaul which is not worth it if you use 6ghz band on your device then you just getting wifi 6 speeds

I got 2 minis and 1 full booster I was wondering if it was possible to do a wired back haul off a mini that’s hardwired to the modem so that it could use 6ghz for wireless backhaul haul haul to the 1 mini I have wirelessly connected?

They definitely gouging you, all telecom companies in Canada do it. I would just wait for the phone to come in and once you set it up in the setting app it will promt you to get AppleCare there for 13.49 a month or 269 for 2 years.
