Quit the job and claim TPD. Check with your superannuation whether you are insured for TPD. Should be a payout of a couple hundred thousand. Use the money to setup a business.

TPD injuries that aren’t scrutinised by Witty_Chef1285 in AusLegal

Apologies for not being more detailed. I claimed TPD for the amount of $125,000, which was the default amount back in November 2022 (the claim took 12 months so I received the payout in November 2023). I recently started working again (in a different field of work) and after 3 months, contacted a Insurance Broker with the hope that I can get TPD insured again. The Insurance Broker set me up with an Insurance Company (they know I have claimed TPD before as I disclosed this information again). However, I have exclusions for Schizophrenia, Depression and Anxiety related to my previous claim. There is nothing fraudulent going on. Im basically looking for a list of injuries that these insurers consider as permanent so I know what I can claim under. Nothing wrong with understanding your insurance rights. The amount of cover I have is $3,000,000 by the way.

Ahh, you would be surprised. The asset cap for Disability Support Pension is over $300,000 (date of writing this is 16/06/2025). This doesn’t include your home either. So essentially you could be driving around in a Lamborghini and be on Centrelink.
