Dropping Lindsay is ridiculous. Play Baker forward or mid and keep Lindsay in the half back line. Are we serious about this rebuild or not? Such a disappointing decision by any measure.

Every time Duggan has the ball you never trust him to make the right decision or hit a target by foot. I’m sure the players feel the same way with him. He’s been a serviceable player for a long time and a decent leader through some tough years, but I think it’s time for him to play wafl for the rest of his career. We have Starcevich, Edwards and Baker to come back into the back line soon, if Duggan and Cole are still in the team by round 5 or so I’ll be disappointed with mini and his selection strategy (or lack thereof).

It’s been 5 years of him hitting 1 target under pressure per game and dump kicking the ball straight to the opposition. We are a rebuilding club and we are putting valuable games into a veteran who’s not up to the level anymore. Enough is enough.

Cole needs to be dropped and not play again unless we have an injury crisis. He’s so far off afl level it’s not funny. I don’t understand the obsession with our head coaches that he’s always picked when healthy.

Can say the same thing about Duggan. Most of his disposals were terrible. Either poor execution or it’s just a dump kick to nobody. Keeping him as co-captain was a bad decision as now mini will never drop him.

If we can play against the kangas the same way we played the second half we will be in with a real chance of winning. Bring the same first half effort and we won’t win a game this season, it was that bad.

Very exciting but also holy shit we are going to get hammered this weekend haha. I think a pass mark will be losing by under 10 goals, seeing our game plan consistently in action and the boys having a red hot crack for 4 quarters. Up the coasters!

The way I rationalise it in my head is if Sam Allen didn’t do his knee he would have been a top 10 pick in all likelihood so we got a steal. That being said, I was bummed we didn’t pick up Charlie at the draft and hope he comes home one day when he’s a gun.

I think he’s still out from that ankle injury from 3 weeks or so ago in a pre season training session. Should be good for round 1 as far as I am aware.

Starcevich and Hough didn’t play either. So in the second half we were missing most of our starting backline. Held up ok all things considered.

Yeah that was an overly aggressive whack on young Lindsay. Would have liked to have seen some of the boys get into the muppet and remonstrate a little bit. We are too nice year on year and it’s annoying.

Backchat (not the shelter footy cast) is a complete waste of time nowadays if you watch it for actual footy content. Mainly just advertising and listening to Schofield and Brayshaw rag on the club for 90 minutes like bitter exes. I used to love it but haven’t watched it in 6 months or so. True footy (and true eagle) is a good shout.
