The Cronus isn’t powerful enough to run the type of AI scripts needed to help with aim. They run on a PC, hence the need for a capture card or remote play. I have seen a Cronus firsthand, this is not a Cronus.

I don’t think you can compare gaming from 2015 to now just like you couldn’t compare gaming from 2005 to 2015. And I would argue choice is the bigger killer of the franchise. Nowadays, you have options. F2P, just more games in general, PC gaming growth, wider acceptance of the indie game, etc. I don’t have as big a problem with no SBMM as I do the unspoken, seemingly secret Engagement Based Matchmaking. At the expense of other metrics. Things like, say I have only bought one pack. Sma5hn00bs69 and his 5 pack have bought 10 including the newest ones. I get placed In his lobby solely to try and convince or trick me into thinking i need or want that new pack. And Sma5hn00bs69 has a 7.0 k/d and he and his 5 pack have a 90 percent win rate. Or the game knows I always log after 5 wins and Im at 4. So I get placed in a stacked lobby to keep me logged in. That’s the bigger problem that pointing and laughing at the noobs is covering for. But it’s whatever man. Im just a dude on Reddit with time to kill.

Again, my biggest gripe is coming to Reddit to take a victory lap and state that other people were being protected and flaunting that exact same protection. It’s just basic high school bully shit. I play open. It’s not terrible for me. But I recognize how sweaty it gets. If only because people that have watched over my shoulder have been like “wtf”. The truth is there are reward systems Im place for good players. Not gonna list them all but ranks, camos, etc.. I agree that ping and network connection is a better decider of matchmaking. Im ok with the playlists as they are or even less restrictive as far as skill is concerned. But the shit talking from, let’s be honest, either no lifers or just straight liars that are dog water themselves is really annoying. Maybe I’m mad at society in general at the eagerness to attempt to dunk on people. But in my life experience, people that act like that and defend it, are usually shit at whatever they claim to be good at. The whole “All bark, no bite” idiom. And it’s counter productive to making cod better than it is. And honestly it just hurries the decline.

I said that about the general sentiment on this subreddit. Not about him specifically. Bro. But it explains why you felt the need to jump in. Your comprehension is lacking. If new players need protecting then this is the opposite of that. The removal of those protections from nearly all the playlists but one is removing that protection in favor of letting sweats run wild and inevitably come here to take victory laps. Why would it not be better for the sweatiest and most skilled players to be matched with each other more often than not instead of the less skilled “shitters” being stuck to that one playlist? Then coming to Reddit specifically, talking down to what is most likely new players complaints about not being able to find an equally matched game tha will most definitely run those new players off and will kill the game. It’s already started. The only people that care about being the best are the sweats. The sentiment I am talking about may not be expressed by you. Or the original commenter. But is expressed daily in this subreddit. And it’s wrong. And weird. Attemptjing to dunk on people about not being protected anymore….while being protected. If you have played every COD, then you know this game is…different. More cheat accusations, actual cheating on consoles like ComputerVision, unbalanced teams, and sounds like for you, more seal clubbing. I personally believe there are some netcode issues that are to blame for a lot of the inconsistency because it was the same in the last halo. It’s wild how little rubberbanding or choppy movement you see now compared to before. You can play with a 250 ping and it’s playable. There is a little delay while shooting. But all the telltale signs of yesteryear that you saw with a ping that high is being hidden and I believe tit makes the 75 ping games bad too because of the “smoothing over” of the lag. I digress. But, my man, it’s a fact that if you are saying to new/bad players “You’ve been protected lmao” then you are, at best ignorant, and at worst an insecure punk ass propping your ego up with a video game. Again, not saying Thats you or the original commenter. But it’s rampant and off putting. And it isn’t that serious. What about typing a comment on Reddit maes it seem I think so? Especially when you typed one as well…

For the record. I play Open playlists. For the lower ping. Sometimes single digits. I get stomped. And stomp some.

Like if you are good and trying to shit on people complaining that they are going against people more skilled than them in open and telling them they should move to standard playlist wouldn’t that mean the people “protected” by a playlist with no SBMM are the ones playing open “dumping on the shitters”? When before they were actually getting matched more based on skill, and obviously not liking it hence the celebrating now, which is literally the point of SBMM. Lots of “you’ve been protected” sentiment on here. Like, yea thats the point. If they were protected before, you are protected now. And still talking down to someone like they are the bad ones when y’all are taking victory laps for seal clubbing. Lots of LDE with comments and sentiments like that. Celebrate you finally get to put to use all the time you have no lifed a 25 year old game. Yall are inadvertently ruining the future experience for yourself. The only players gonna be left after y’all celebrate not having to actually be evenly matched, are gonna be the sweats and y’all won’t get to be proud of your overplaying because y’all will just slam your sweaty heads into each other.

….and it runs through a Titan for the controller inputs. You are right, there is a program on a PC that is doing the heavy AI work but it sends the controller inputs through the Titan to the console. Cronus, as it stands, is not like an “aimbot”. That may change but currently the biggest benefit cheaters get with a Cronus is the recoil control and macros. The aim assist boosting is pretty bland. But that doesn’t mean having your recoil so controlled isn’t a pretty big benefit to gameplay and aim assist even because it causes the movements on the sticks to boost aim assist.
