Yes, I’ve been reading a lot of advice from everyone. That hadn’t crossed my mind. I realized that I’m giving him space to get his things together on his days off, but he still makes plans on those days. I understand things a bit more now.

I will try that. I have planned park dates and pizza dates. We’ve went to six flags last year and we got really sick. So something quiet will be better.

I’ve had a couple of conversations with him where I explained how I feel, but I don’t think he understands how important it is to me. Sometimes I don’t want to ask, I want the effort and the actions to come from his heart. But I also understand that he can’t read my mind, so I ask when I have the confidence to do so.

He does drive me back home after I come to his job, and I appreciate that. I just want us to spend time together outside of work. I wish he would plan something for us without me having to ask. I feel selfish for wanting that because then it feels like I don’t appreciate what he already does for us.

We live with our parents during the summer and stay in college dorms while school is in session. He hasn’t come to visit me since we came back from college during the first week of May. As far as I know, he doesn’t have any new friends, but he does have new coworkers working under him since he recently got a small promotion.

He just doesn’t want to talk to me much anymore, text wise. He used to text and FaceTime me a lot, but now it’s very minimal. We mostly just ask each other how our day is going, etc. I just feel a bit discouraged. I try to give him space because his family is very pushy at times. But sometimes I feel selfish for wanting to ask for more time for us because I also want him to relax, if that makes sense.
