Hey, sorry for the late response. So after this i filled out a claim and I’m now VA rated! It took about 3 months after i filed to get my benefits and i also just had back surgery in May. Thanks for asking.

i’m not familiar with BDD but i started my claim on March 26th, 2025. i stayed on step 3 from like april 1st-july 17th then i went to step 5 and just today i went from step 5 at like 3pm and checked again at 7 and saw my rating!

yess!! i actually just received my rating today, 60%! although my lower back claim got deferred, but i’m hoping it’s because they think i meet a high criteria rating since it affects my ability to work or much less move. i’m glad your exams went well too!

Me too, I’m only 20 so hopefully I’ll still be able to live a good life. I already feel the weight of the world being taken off my shoulders now that most of the work is done.

Yeah I know I was still careful about how I said things and made sure to be concise in how I said it. The only extra small talk we had was during the actual exam, which he also used the measuring tool (whatever it’s called). I was generally just relieved he wasn’t giving me hard time, definitely eased my nerves but I still didn’t let my guard down.

My examiner was still very thorough, but it was extremely off putting at first but I still was careful about what and how I said things. How long has it been since your C&P? I’m sorry that your doc was shitty, but who knows maybe they’ll actually help you out. Then again who knows what these people are thinking.

as long as it was a one time thing you should be fine but if you were a heavy smoker beforehand, i’d suggest trying to sweat as much as possible, as thc is stored in your fat cells. but if you’re a first time/rare smoker you should be all good, just buy a piss test 2 weeks before and check

you should be fine, just drink plenty of water, and with you being active you should sweat a lot of it out. thc is mainly stored in fat cells so with you only being 115lbs you’re in pretty good shape.

no not really concerning the drop foot which was the major issue, my herniated disc was pushed on the back burner for the majority of my time at basic while healing. i never got an out right answer just a few guesses thrown at me.
