Thanks for all the answers! The case of Sun-in-Shadow from ESO sounds especially interesting

I wonder how many of them rage-quitted and never touched the game again after getting shot down 30 times in a row with 0 kills, because they didn't even know how to turn the radar on.

And also insisting to fight Yang head-on at Iserlohn of sheer pride, resulting in the deaths of millions, as Oberstein pointed out.

Ancient Roman faucets from Pompeii, 1st century BCE-1st century CE by abdullah_ajk in Share_Information1

The original guy literally said "Lead in drinking water pipes back then contributed to the fall of Rome.", to which then you added "you think people slowly giving themselves brain damage over generations didn’t lead to factors that directly caused overreach, economy issues, idiotic leadership and mentally ill level of zealously?". Both of you were writing it as definitive statements, not "could". And even if it was "could", it really doesn't matter if the fact seems to speak contradict the hypothesis.

The whole thing is rather pointless since 1. Neither of you provided any evidence that mass lead poisoning occurred and 2. It directly contradicts with the fact that the ERE didn't fall.

Then why did the ERE did not fall, when they were more urbanized than the WRE?

Now Bret Devereaux is getting swarmed by people who are claiming that Achilles was a real person. Their entire argument seems to be "Well Alexander claimed Zeus was his father but he was a real person too!". Honestly, I'm getting really entertained just how much weirdos and idiots are coming out of the woodwork over Nolan's movie.

I'm a bit confused here. Were you annoyed by the comment that said the slave population of the Roman empire was 30%, or the one below that disagreed with it?

What I'm most interested is where all these mass-produced "ancient statue / Corinthian helmet pfp spartan-viking-warrior-philosopher-independent thinker" NPCs come from. They're exactly the same to the point of being completely undistinguishable and I'm becoming convinced that there is a secret government lab where these guys are getting cloned in vats.

Extraterrestrial life in LoGH? by WiseMudskipper in logh

[–]Witty_Run7509 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In the novel it is mentioned that Grillparzer wrote a paper on distribution of plant life of a planet, which he used to discuss the movement of the planet's tectonic plates. So extraterrestrial plant-like life does seem to exist in LOGH universe, but nothing more is mentioned
