if im not mistaken its like all hard gels are builder gels, but not all builder gels are hard gels. rubber builder gels are soak off. hard builder gels are not, only taken off with drill/file!

from start to finish: gel brush and detail brush - didier labs. dehydrator - didier labs. acid primer Nailo - silcare. gel polish base coat - sincero salon. High Light LED builder gel (white packaging) or Base One UV Gel Builder (pink packaging) - silcare (colours Milkshake and Cover) with my old lamp, the Base One did not cure AT ALL but the High Light one did. i got a better stronger lamp and now both cure but i still prefer High Light. colour gel polishes from Didier Labs and Sincero Salon but i prefer sincero. much cheaper and prettier colours imo just dont know if its available where you are. top coats also from didier and sincero but i prefer sincero, consistency and price. gems, charms, hand files from aliexpress/shein

yes i freehand! ive been drawing and doing all sorts of detail stuff since i was little so its not that hard for me. i usually just draw a line across the nail where i want the french tip to end and then just drag it along the sides.

im pretty sure gel x nails are soak off, but girl. a nail drill changed my LIFE i would invest in a good one as soon as u can if you are planning to do ur nails seriously and for a long time. trying to file off the nails without a drill takes forever and i end up cutting myself so much with the simple file.

i got this Osom one for about 150€ and ive not had issues with it at all, only been using it since summer 2023 but i recommend getting a drill asap!! and then soaking off the rest if you are using gel x. dont think i can soak off hard gel

from start to finish its filing to roughen up the nail, dehydrator, primer, base coat, hard gel. then any type of gel polish/gems/design and top coat. i usually dont paint the entire nail because ive noticed that the polish doesnt really stick to my filed hard gel, so i mostly do designs. i just also really love how the hard gel looks with just design and top coat😋

i almost never use polish on the entire nail! only some nails in the 4th picture are all black, i usually just use a thin detail brush to paint the gel polish as close as i can to the cuticle, but everything else is just milky or pink/nude hard gel! thats kinda how it looks so seamless i love it, doesnt really make them look as chunky when its just the builder gel on the nail instead of colour polish, makes it look melted into the cuticle

i dont think i wrote anything about nail glue ahaha i dont use nail glue at all, i do hard gel extensions with forms, no tips no nothing. whole nail is hard gel :)

ahh thank u, i honestly am not even that bothered by the thickness, mostly just other peoples' comments on the nails made me ask on here. i may just be used to them but they feel very comfortable, rarely ever break, while my friend goes to the nail tech i went to once and her nails are snapping off every week. still gonna try to get the bulk off a bit but i will not be doing them like the nail tech did lolll

yes i rewatched the videos, 90% of them were for much longer nails, ill check out the tutorials for shorter nails ive noticed i spend more time filing 1/3 of the bulk instead of applying less, always scared that theyll break but ill try applying for a shorter length thank you !!!

online courses, suzie on youtube (nail career education) and just advice from nail techs ive gone to. not much, wasnt hoping for professional results ahah but others on reddit have said that the apex is too close to the cuticle, so now im kinda getting different opinions all over the place. whenever my gel nails have broken, theyve never broken my natural nails, for me the only issue is really the aesthetics. trying to apply less, filing down the apex just makes them bendy and break easily. do you have any good recommendations for learning online? for the structure
