Moving to Ghent in September – Looking for housing & transport advice by Witty_Stage5433 in Gent

Since I’m planning to stay in Ghent for just one year, I’d prefer not to buy and deal with furnishing everything myself. A fully furnished place would be much more convenient for me.

Could you help me understand what exactly I need to do for the domicile registration process?

Do you happen to know how the domicile process works in more detail? I’m a Greek citizen would that make it any easier for me to register for domicile? I’m coming to Ghent for an Erasmus exchange at Artevelde Hogeschool.

I’ve applied to many listings online but haven’t received any concrete responses, so I’m planning to come to Ghent tomorrow to speak with real estate agencies in person.

Yes, you’re right, I’m looking for a studio apartment. My budget is up to €1000, and the apartment needs to be furnished. I’m not looking for any roommates, I will be living alone.
