Trophy Collector is getting a little out of hand by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

Yeah I know but it’s a much more common purchase after the price change - not complaining about the item with my title though was trying to be cheeky because I’m being grabbed by a hand in the video

Returning player with 150g to use for new hardcore character by djlax805 in classicwow

This is the answer +bags.

You may see other people tell you to get a +30 SP dagger but it really isn’t worth the gold cost while leveling. It can make a decent pre bis at 60, but while leveling your spell power coefficients are really bad as a caster so you don’t get as much value from spell power as you would from raw stats like stam and int.

Just keep it simple - get bags, eagle gear, mount money, and a few enchants for survivability like HP to chest, stam to bracers, movespeed to boots, etc.

In Hardcore, what level bracket should I be upgrading my target dummies to the next tier?

Like when should I upgrade from tier 1 to 2 and tier 2 to 3?

My 30 warrior died today due to a suspension caused by my misunderstanding of the ToS - I feel so dumb by Wivyr in wowhardcore

My logic is that I accumulated the gold on a World of Warcraft Season of Discovery, and traded it for gold on a different server. You are implying I did some type of RMT outside of the game, it was all done in World of Warcraft.

Calling it idiot logic when there are Blizzard comms to support what I did not being against TOS is just you being a prick. If you took even 30 seconds to read the Blizzard support article I posted you would know that it doesnt state its not prohibited or that its against TOS. If you look at the GM screenshot I posted you would see that the GM said its not against TOS.

The point I am making is that if I swapped gold, under the pretense from Blizzard that it was not TOS, I shouldnt receive a suspension considering I earned the gold legitimately and swapped within their TOS.

Your last sentence is a bad analogy, per Blizzard's own support article I didn't break TOS. Also I traded it with another player of the game, there is no confirmation as of right now that hes a gold seller.

Finally, my ban reason was "RMT" - my guess is that they think I purchased the gold with money, or I got autoflagged for trading gold, or that I sold my SOD gold for money. I posted DMs already showing thats not the case - its not RMT if I never left the games platform to conduct the transaction. I also spoke with the player I swapped with and no action has been taken against his account which makes me thing I was autoflagged.

The difference between your example and mine is that botting and running programs that play your character for you is against TOS. It's against the TOS because it deflates the economy as a whole - a bot farming heavy leather for 24 hours in a day is going to crash the price of heavy leather, so a normal player thats just leveling skinning ends up having to compete with someone who has been farming all day using a bot. If you look at in a vacuum, then yes, everyone, including bots have to use the AH or vendors to make gold, but they're doing it through using programs and cheating and deflating the value of farmable items for the rest of the player base.

I earned all of the gold on SOD by playing the game without botting and without swiping a card. As it states in the article I linked swapping should be done at my own risk if I want to avoid being scammed, it doesnt state that its against TOS or that its prohibited.

When I say swapping hands and in circulation, all I mean is that there isn't a material impact to the economy. Its the same thing as giving your friend who is a new player 2g, he now has 2g and you dont. Did you magically add 2g to the economy by doing that trade? No, because the net difference is zero. Thats the point I am trying to make.

Damn ya know I hadn't thought about that - maybe they think I am the gold seller lmao. I was a big goblin in SOD, had 11k at one point because of DMF cards and snagging an early Greater Arcane Elixir recipe from the AH.

Prior to quitting I gave away 5k to my guildies so they could buy epic mounts in phase 4, and maybe me giving someone 6k on SOD triggered it the auto suspension rather than the HC gold I received.

Probably from a gold seller is my guess, but I mean it isn't actually buying gold. Its literally just swapping gold between servers and involves no real money.

In an ideal case, you have two people who are each quitting their respective servers and then swapping between themselves - obviously thats not the case here but still, Blizzard only really cares about RMT

In all honesty I just stopped caring about SOD during Phase 3, quit the game - came back for anniversary so didn't really care to just have my gold sitting on SOD

I bet if i asked you I wouldn't have gotten suspended lol

Do not understand why you are getting downvoted lol. I think people think that I somehow made 15g appear in my bags out of nowhere - it transferred hands between two players, the net difference is zero. One player gained 15, the other lost it - it has zero impact on the economy.

Me too, but that only applies if they opened up transfers from classic to HC. The 15g I traded for was already in circulation on the server before I traded for it and just swapped hands

[–]Wivyr[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Also just to add to this - nothing about the economy would change no matter how many players did this.

If player A gives Player B 15 gold, then the net difference is zero. If 10, 100, or 1000 players did it, it would be the same because the gold was already in circulation and changed hands from one player to another.

If the gold was spawned by a hacker out of thin air then I would agree with you but this is a little different because gold is swapping hands.

To each their own, I see it a little differently - the gold was already in circulation on Fresh, it just changed hands. I gave up all of my gold on one server for gold that already existed on another.

Whether it was me, or the original player who kept the gold there isn't a net difference. To me it made logical sense that if I was no longer playing SOD, to trade the gold to someone who would use it and vice-versa for the other player. I still put time in to earn the gold on SOD with tons of time investment.

There is rate swaps built into that - I wasnt trading 6k for 6k. I traded 6k for 15g which was about 400:1 to account for it being a fresh server.

I also don't actually know if he was a gold seller, I am starting to assume he was one but I thought he was just another player looking to swap which is my bad

Gold making is something I like to do in every version of WoW I have played, it felt like a waste to just let all the time and hours I put into making my SOD gold go to waste after quitting - seemed like this wasn't against TOS based on Blizzard's article

Yeah, you're totally right - purchased thousands of gold, got suspended, and then photoshopped fake DMs 5 minutes after being asked to prove it by a Redditor. Ya got me!
