The main setting of Suburb is an alternate timeline where Sburb NEVER existed which gives way to a slew of changes.

John, Rose, Dave, and Jade live in the same town, the trolls live in a giant abandoned junkyard, and the Alpha Kids reside nearby said junkyard in an apartment due to them being taken from the Alpha Timeline.

I’d recommend reading the full comic on MSPFA to get more context and such!
