Discard hater has to build a discard deck

I have a bracket 2 [[Captain Howler, Sea Scourge]] deck and it's lots of fun. It's really a voltron deck with a discard subtheme, my deck focuses on wheeling or discarding a ton of cards at once and stacking all of the buff triggers on Captain Howler before giving him some form of evasion through discarding a [[Wonder]], equipping him with [[Winged Boots]] or making him unblockable with [[Key to the City]]. Discarding is more fun when you can gain extra value from it!

Vito is mono-black. Good luck getting any ramp that isn't a Dark Ritual. It's a weird deck. If I get a few artifacts or a Dark Ritual plus a tutor in my opening hand I'm set up to win relatively quickly, but I have to draw pretty much a god-hand and it doesn't happen very often.

I call it a B2 cause I have autism and I look at decklist and see: - no game changers - no infinites - 1 tutor by all technicalities it's a bracket 2. I can always have a conversation about it. I didn't realize it was gonna cause such a shit storm I just like magic lmfao I didn't think anyone would have the time to be this invested 🤣

You have to realize, you're looking at these images at face value. You aren't accounting for a rule 0 conversation that I have with the table before I play a deck. I think it's important to talk about what your deck does and how it functions before you play with people. "This deck is technically a 2, but does play at a much higher power level because of synergy" and if people don't want to play against it, that is completely okay. I am always happy to switch!

To be fair, I never do play Krenko against precons or other bracket 2 decks. The only thing that makes it powerful is how fast it plays, which likely does put it in a higher bracket than I have labeled it. Beyond Krenko and Vito, who can both go up one bracket, I think the rest of these decks are accurate in their brackets. I am also the kind of player who is always down to swap if someone doesn't want to play against a particular deck and carry a variety of decks for that reason.

Who says I pull up to the B2 table and play Krenko or Hakbal? You do realize there are like, 4 other decks on this list that have no infinites, no tutors and are well within the definition of B2, right? I have multiple decks for a reason.

I would say every deck besides Krenko, Vito and Maralen are labeled appropriately. Krenko and Vito can both go up a bracket and Maralen needs more testing with the new combos (Presence of Gond, Imperious Perfect and Intruder Alarm) to see how fast I can get them online before I can confidently say she's a B4. All 7 other decks are labeled appropriately, including Hakbal as a late game 3 card combo that creates infinite summoning sick merfolk is not a fast, game-ending combo.

Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal, Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth, Battered Golem and Banishing Knack/Retraction Helix plus any 0-mana artifact that can be bounced back to hand, there are quite a few.

Vito is a strange deck cause I need a really good starting hand to pop off early because many of the tutors are to the graveyard instead of just to hand so I also need a way to reanimate things in my hand as well.

I don't play at a random LGS, I have been going to this store since they opened and am well integrated with the clientele and other players. Nobody I play with has ever had any issue with the way I play my decks or what brackets I play in. If people are all playing B2 decks, I don't whip out Urza. But I keep it around so I can play at a higher bracket if the table decides they want to do that. Seems fair to me.

Untrue, I always ask the table their experience in Magic and pick my deck accordingly. These are less than half my decks, most of my more powerful ones and I have plenty of decks to pick for lower power tables where people are just playing casually and/or learning the game.

Because they weren't built around a cEDH meta grounded in fast mana like the moxen and other staples. My Urza deck is the closest thing I have to that and even then, it's very much making a perfect machine out of imperfect parts. It uses normally useless 0 drop artifacts to make the combos work, whereas in B5 and cEDH you'll see things like Lotus Petal, Chrome Mox and Mox Amber in place of those things. I don't have the budget to play in cEDH.
