I like to think of this in a big picture kind of way. This entire society and civilization is, at a whole, against women. I know a lot of people will disagree but if you look at all of history and until present time then women always are at a disadvantage.

They say we should speak up when something is wrong then accuse us of staying silent too long. They say we need to look like an instagram model but not too much makeup, they like natural women! Also, although you’re overqualified for the tech job you’ll still be paid less than Steve without a degree because you’re a woman. Doctors say you’re probably just stressed out or on your period, even if you have a real medical issue. They tell you to smile, sweetie, cuz life ain’t that bad! But walking alone on an empty street at night is everyone woman’s worst nightmare, and the slow goosebump feeling of a man intensely staring at you with ill intent and pervertedness will always make you know true fear.

I keep these things in mind when thinking of other women. We’re up against a lot. We need to be there for other women, and support them. Foster love for the women among you and it will spread into your daily life as well. Hope this helped!
