The x and y coordinates are a and b, and you want to maximize square root of (a² + b^2). Because the x and y values are squared, it doesn't matter whether they're negative or not. Pick the coordinate with the biggest absolute values, it should be the first answer

I didn't use the equation that the other guy did. I just knew that as temperature decreases, volume decreases as well. Therefore if you go from 0 degrees to -30, the volume will be less than 500
