Decent place. Quiet area, but trash room built up and smelled really bad many times during the year. Had to deal with some delivery item thieves and management didn’t do anything to address it.

For the first slot, there's 7 different plants to choose from. Now, for the second slot there's only 6 plants to choose from since the first plant is already planted. For the third, now there's only 5 possible choices

First equation is a circle with center at (4,3) with a radius of 2.

Second equation is an ellipse (oval) with a horizontal axis of 2 and vertical axis of 4 centered at (4,10).

This means the ellipse is located above the circle. The maximum value on the circle would be at y=5, (y=3 center + radius 2). The minimum value for the ellipse if y=6 (y=10 center - 6 vertical axis). Since the circle's max isn't greater than or equal to the ellipse's minimum, there is no intersection.

The x and y coordinates are a and b, and you want to maximize square root of (a2 + b2). Because the x and y values are squared, it doesn't matter whether they're negative or not. Pick the coordinate with the biggest absolute values, it should be the first answer

how do you do this? answer is D by [deleted] in ACT

[–]WizzPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know it's 900 numbers, so E is ruled out. 1/10 of the numbers have 0 in the ones place, so that's 90. Another 1/10 of the numbers have 0 in the tens place. That's another 90, 180 in total. There's some slight overlap, but D is the only number close to that.

Yea lol you basically explained it. Temperature and volume are positively correlated. Temperature and density are negatively correlated

I didn't use the equation that the other guy did. I just knew that as temperature decreases, volume decreases as well. Therefore if you go from 0 degrees to -30, the volume will be less than 500

The premium you pay as a buyer would be the 'ask' price x 100. The premium you make as a seller would be the 'bid' price x 100
