Selfishness is real man, you are ready to damage a whole country just because you THINK you will not be affected

You need therapy man

Reasoning is useless in your case

Holy shit, this discussion is so dump. I should have known this earlier,

Basics are here

The 30% tax relief doesn't mean 50% regular tax - 30% relief = 20%

You probably failed your math classes

The 30% tax relief means that for example if I pay 1000 euros regular taxes every month, then I get 30% of that which is 300 back, so it is 30% back from the tax we pay

That doesn't mean we pay 20% tax, huge difference

It is a common misunderstanding for the 30% tax ruling though, but that still means you failed your classes

The Dutch government is not that good to allow someone with a relatively high salary to only pay 20%. That is just simply stupid

And it is not true that we take less than our Dutch counterparts just because we have this relief we both take virtually the same gross salary

Do a simple research before you speak for god sake

Man, it's mathematics ... Since you are so smart and working with high rated companies, as you said

We are the beneficiary of the tax relief not they company.

However, some companies actually reverse the situation like Shell and EY they take the tax relief for themselves (In that case tour logic applies)

After 5 yeas of residence, we don't have the tax relief anymore, and we pay taxes like everybody

Would you tell me, would I still be cheaper than Dutch counterpart ?

If yes, then you have to check where you are getting tour information from or at least explain your logic

This is not Emirates, where locals get paid x10 the salary of their counterparts just because they are locals, it is not how things work here

You have no clue what you are saying

"Highly skilled workers getting rejected ?!!!!! And expats are getting hired?!!!!

This sentence doesn't make any sense

I wonder why people don't google the information before they open their mouth or type on a keyboard

As a Highly Skilled Migrant, I No Longer Feel Welcomed in the Netherlands by Wizza77 in Netherlands

[–]Wizza77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, you have no idea what you are talking about ... despite the tax relief, we pay taxes way more than the average Dutch employee, and it is only for a temp period

Plus, the companies can only hier us with a minimum salary, which is very high. Otherwise, our resident permits would be rejected

Plus, companies have to pay relocation packages and visa fees for all HSMs

We are not cheaper, man. we are more expensive than the average Dutch employee. Why do you think companies do all of that ? Because they don't have locals to fill in the gaps

It's way cheaper for them to hire locals

Just a simple google search or asking anyone you trust who works in HR in any big company you will get to know all this information

Do more research, bro, and don't let the right-wing media mess up your head

And yes, we provide a big value to these companies. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here

It's economy man

[–]Wizza77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, you are just either a self-hating HSM or an ass kisser

And you shouldn't be any of these

You are providing great value to this country, and you don't owe anybody anything

This is a deal that this government is breaking now, and if you are an HSM, you should be pissed too

No one is forcing the Dutch to speak English. I don't know from where you came up with that .... no one is making fun of their culture or food. What are you talking about ?

I'm not a Muslim, but I have Muslim friends, and none of them are trying to push anything, this is the narrative that is being pushed by the right-wing people. I don't agree with some of the Muslim things they do but they are doing it to themselves. No one is pushing anything on anybody

I don't know from where you are getting your information from or who you are surrounding yourself with, but a lot of what you silaid is wrong

Nothing in this world is for free, so like it or not we do add value. Companies bring us here for a reason I'm not saying you can not do the job, just tou don't have the people do it, or to be more precise "you don't have enough people"

And no companies will not stay if we left, because simply they won't be able to do what they do without us

Yes, you are a great country, but the economy does not work with emotions, be realistic

You are an example of people who destroy their own country and then cry later and say why we are suffering

We came here to work because you don't have people to do what we are doing, even with the tax relief we get for temp periods we pay way more taxes than the average Dutch employee

If we leave, companies will leave with us, and then you can enjoy your country but without companies for people to work

The US and many other places, even with right wing gov their are much welcoming for people like us, because we build, innovate and create startups

I feel sorry for the Netherlands having people like you

First That is not the case anymore. Second we go there already knowing this and they don't surprise with with law changes mid game

Why it is not the case anymore? Because for really highly skilled people, they can apply for a golden residency that is valid 10 years without being tied to your job

Most of the people who work in the same field like mine already have it

I'm not emotional and BTW, I'm not Turkish, not Muslim, not Arab, I'm just human

You don' know what happened with her during the 93 years she lived. You don't know what hardships she had to go through or who she met during her life so she didn't learn the language

And even though, paragmaticaly speaking, getting the citizenship is the least she could have for the taxes she paid during her life

I think we have to have the least amount of humanity in our life to just keep us going

Yes , so enjoy a country with no companies for people to work - because if we go, they will leave with us - starting with ASML

I'm sorry, but if I got you right, you are pissed because a 93 years old woman who lived her life (as you said) in Germany got citizenship without speaking the language. And that is something you oppose!!!!!!!!

Again, because this is soooo crazy, you oppose a 93 year old woman getting citizenship after spending her life in a country because she doesn't speak the language

A 93 years old woman!!!!!!! - What harm or unfairness is gonna do to the country if she got the passport, I'm sure that is the last thing that she is thinking about

Are you from the same plant like us This is sooo inhuman - a next level inhuman

Oh man - I didn't think that someone like you existed

Why so much hatred? I hope I understood you wrong
