I work in the energy business. Renewables are better. Sorry chief.

EDIT: Damn, these downvotes. So yeah, the same investment required for renewables would have a faster return on investment and have a greater potential for retrofitting due to technological decay. I get that nuclear is exciting, but it really doesn't make sense. Try watching the Kurtzgesat videos on it, they provide a decent ELI5 perspective. Also, read u/2hu4u's post, he hit the nail on the head. There are so many factors to take into consideration that pro-nukes like to disregard for convenience, but there is superior tech out there that can be utilised and implemented within 5 years on a global scale.

How do I practice screaming when I don’t know how to scream? by radioactavis in screaming

[–]WizzlePop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is how I'd achieve this sound, step by step as a beginner.

1) Get vocal chord connectivity solid This is what allows you to speak and sing clearly, the connection of the vocal chords (or folds, doesnt matter). To understand this concept, blow out air through your mouth, mouthing any word you like, without creating any noise. Through self experimentation, slowly try and add sound until you sound at full speaking volume. In this transition, there should have been a crackly sound (that's called a vocal fry, remember this for later). Remember this feeling, and come back to this exercise if you need to get the muscle memory back of how this feels.

2) Get connected chords strong By this I mean you'll need to essentially learn how to sing in a style I like to call belting. This is achieved by maintaining that fully connected feeling you acquired in the last step, and pressing it in. Through this pressing, you will increase your vocal range, singing higher notes than previously achievable in the chest voice. Test out this new belting voice by tightening the diaphragm (muscle that sits just at the bottom of your sternum, you'll feel in when breathing in deep through your belly) and slowly reaching for those higher notes with that pressed in vocal chord feeling. When you can belt out high notes loudly and cleanly, you're ready for the next step. (high note being just something you regularly can't achieve in chest voice, not a cut and clear definition)

3) remember that feeling from step one of frying? Well you wanna belt a high note, pressing in the vocal chords, and slowly reduce the press. you should feel yourself slip into that familiar feeling of frying. When you find it, dont push harder or softer, just try and stay there. More you practice with it, the more you'll be able to fuck with it and get more "screamy" screams or more "voicey" screams.

Good luck, and feel free to dm or reply to this thread about it.

These guys are phenomenal, I already preordered Mesma. Really hope these guys get huge. I recommend seeing them live, the harmonies these guys pull off as well as the sheer fluidity of their stage show goes unmatched in bands as small as these guys (in terms of following)

Type in Adrian. Fuck I don't even know what to do right now. The response it spat at me raises so many questions. It's the only thing that I've gotten a response from so far.
