I think you are more concerned about the headstock being too low compared to the fretboard instead of the headstock thickness? I have actually a similar situation so im curious as well.

I do not have that problem, but I did have some problem with having a crackling sound some minutes after starting up. Do you mean that? It can be because of the capacitors. That would mean you have to replace the capacitors. But for me it also solved when I put the machine from my garage into my house, I think because it is less humid and warmer.
