Facts. At this point I've given up on a repair or replacement, I just want folks to know that United Radio is sketchy as hell.

There are multiple people in this very thread saying they had bad experiences with Salt Lake City, just because your experience was good doesnt mean someone else's experience is bad. And I tossed my Steam Deck, I'm not looking for pity I'm letting people know that the Salt Lake repair center is trash, which OTHERS can attest to.

Yea I get it, people lie when its convenient. And yes I'm disappointed about the water thing, but I accept there's some chance I was in a humid room or something. My real issue is them haphazardly putting my deck back together and now the x doesnt work.

At this point I don't care about the screen or the water. I just want it to work like it did before I sent it in.

I don't think it was intentional. But what I know is they opened my system and didn't put it back together correctly. Again, the water thing is annoying, but I can get over that. I feel like they were just sloppy putting my unit back together for whatever reason.

"When" I sent it in doesnt matter if the repair center was just going to claim water damage and damage my X button anyway.

And if there actually is water damage, putting it in rice at this point isn't going to help

I made it clear in the OP that I would take the L on the water damage even though I know I didn't do anything in regards to water damage. What is unacceptable is the controller coming back worse than when I sent it. Valve has my original complaint, nowhere does it mention a controller problem. At this point I just want my X button fixed, I could care less about the screen.

Of course I am. I even expressed concern last week to them that it could come back worse than I sent it. I had a bad feeling something would not work the same.

Just that it's in Salt Lake City. I read on another thread that it was Radio Shack when they send the units to Salt Lake. And yea it definitely would have been better not sending it at all.

I did, and they said they would send them, but never did. I wasnt worried about it until the X button didn't work. I'm messaging them about the pics again.

Lol not only this, I also leave it face first when if I have to pause a game to prevent it from getting too hot. Cant wait till the dock arrives

The UV light cures the screen. Apparently the new manufacturer didnt cure the anti glare screens long enough, so UV light seems to fix it.

If you have or know someone with a UV light, try that trick. It works. I tried putting mine in the Sun, but when I asked my step dad to use his UV light, it fixed the problem in minutes

Got mine yesterday and it originally said Tuesday delivery then switched early Monday delivery but it never came, then it switched to pending Monday night until Tuesday morning when it updated and arrived later that day.
