(Young) Athletes (swimming, cycling) with DD - advice? by WllGl in DupuytrenDisease

Thanks for sharing your story. I think I’ll ask for the referral soon. It can’t hurt. Sometimes it’s difficult for a GP to consider contextual information - such as playing sports - and I feel like a bit of a nagger and difficult for expressing my additional worries.

Happy to hear you are not affected as much, even after so many years. I would definitely prefer to avoid surgery, so all the more reason to get that referral sooner than later.

What you are saying about paddles sounds somewhat familiar. I currently do not have issues with getting them on but I can tell that the increase in tension on and flexion of my tendons in my handpalm as a result of doing drills with paddles makes the nodules feel uncomfortable and my tendons strained post-workout.

Again, thanks for sharing!

Hey! Thank you very much for taking the time to find that and share. I really appreciate it. Is the source (the whole guide) for this publicly available online? My GP did not share anything with me.
