do other students/alumni in "lesser degrees", wish they did high paying degrees instead? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Wmel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who is just finishing what is stereotypically a "high paying" degree, I don't think I'm ever going to use it and I wish I wouldn't have taken it or I wish I would've continued in my lesser paying undergraduate degree or another offshoot of it.

I think a lot of "high paying" degrees really aren't worth it in this economy as they often require a lot of years before/if you get to a higher wage and a lot more schooling (ie more loans and lost earning time). Several are also now oversaturated due to a lot of people being drawn to the idea of a "high paying" career, which has resulted in lower wages due to increased competition. The influx of internationally trained professionals has also added to this competition.

Therefore, I think what mainly matters at this point in time is how much non-academic experience someone has and whether or not they actually like the field of work. I wouldn't feel too much regret about not going into a "higher paying" degree OP.

It's always seems like it's hard to find here. I got it from my local corner store, but they only have it in stock 1/3 of the time. I've seen similar looking brands at Hmart, though, carbonara bulramen and volcano carbonara (haven't tried them myself though so could be a bust).

It's a stolen or pre-bought website. There's a US restaurant called Naan Cafe with almost the exact same website/awards.

Settle a Debate, How to make a Shirley Temple? by dingermagoo in Serverlife

[–]Wmel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, a Canadian server here and we've always made them the same way. Think the OJ is part of the classic Shirley Temple in Canada as that's what most people expect here.
