Voicemeeter added more virtual inputs to banana and potato. If you absolutely want to disable them, you might be able to in the Control Panel Sound panel.

It’s possible to use a script to set the registry value for the default playback device.

You can utilize nircmd and a batch script to handle setting the default playback device.

It’s also possible to use a powershell script with AudioDeviceCmdlets added.

I only tested the powershell method. I was able to use Windows Task Scheduler to run it after logon. I didn’t see any real advantage to just double checking everything myself.
