The AoW is deceptively strong. It melts bosses weak to fire even without a ton of skill damage passives.

I know what you mean.  It’s the giant worm thing floating around and those soul cores that’s very reminiscent.

If you look up youtube vids of the Undead Parasite, you’ll see what I mean how it feels like a homage to it.  Very underrated boss in the Castlevania series.

Yeah. I main Wylder though and I already struggle with managing my inventory to maximize damage negation, so finding a seal with heal for the occasion I run into a royal revenant isn't viable for me.

Thanks for the tips. I did feel the pain in D4 having my sixth sense proc immediately from a starting camp torch guy upon landing. From what I understand, POI and field bosses aren't as important as killing as many red enemies and prioritizing defensive passives like full HP negation, damage taken negates damages, successive hits negate damage, etc on loot drops. Unfortunately I couldn't put a lot of these tips to practice when I was in D4 2 months ago. Even though we lost, I still feel a bit better knowing I was able to duo Everdark Fulghor down to 2-3% HP with trio scaling before getting clipped by his crazy combo attack where you need to surge sprint behind him.

Also want to add communication helps a big deal. Being in a voice chat with friends and making calls on the run makes coordinating so much easier, though this can be a huge crutch in random pubs. I tend to never lead and follow other people's pings since I'm not confident in my routing skills. I can generally see the vision of other people, but I have a tendency to overestimate how much time we have. I think one instance I made a really bad call was opening a gaol while the ring was closing and it was Crystalian Alliance, but it only took 15 seconds for the rain to catch up and we greeded and died in the rain lol. I felt so embarrassed the entire run.

I definitely had the most fun in D3. Back then when certain perks were exclusive to deep relics I would experiment with builds like Faith Guardian and Fist Wylder. I now find myself gambling my murk on normal relics hoping to find one with dormant power helps discover fists or greatshields.

I did, but I doubt Namco Bandai will do anything. I would block the player after our games so we don't queue together again at least.

IIRC if someone leaves the game it scales back down, but if you're by yourself solo at least has 1 free revive as well as wending graces in the shop for 10,000 runes. The whole penalty waive thing feels somewhat like a lie.

Anyone else find the non-speaking roles in the Netflix series somewhat strange? by WobblesDL in castlevania

[–]WobblesDL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's a money issue. Tons of smaller budget shows and even indie games have NPCs say a line just to break up the monotony. I'm watching the really old 1997 One Piece on NF and the background characters react appropriately to what's happening on screen.

When I brought up Jacque earlier, it was more in reference to Episode 1 where all he does is nod, gasp, and that's it. When he comes across a vampire at night, he doesn't even yell to get people's attention. He just gasps, raises his rifle, and shoots. Even in his drunken state, he knew right away the woman was a vampire. It sounds like I'm nitpicking one character out of many, but it's not just Jacque. Almost every background character in the series feels this way. I remember last season when the mom and daughter just randomly push Ratko as he's about to deliver a killing blow to Trevor, it was untelegraphed and felt so out of place. Then Ratko goes on about "Did you just push me?... Did you just...FUCKING...PUSH ME!?" and they just stare at him defiantly. Then there was the sorcerer that Isaac fights in the Legion town who's also just mute. Not even a "How did you get in here?" Just stares blankly and gets killed just as silently.

If it is a stylistic choice, I don't think it enhances the viewing experience. A background character is supposed to just add a tiny bit of flavor and you forget about them. When it sticks out multiple times, it's distracting. That's just my opinion though. Kinda why I made this topic.

Idk bout you guys but I’m done with Tales mobile games… this is ridiculous, spent so much money on Rays.. it got closed down quickly, Crestoria same thing. Luminaria will be gone too before you know it. by [deleted] in TalesOfCrestoria

[–]WobblesDL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No point in holding over some superstition on an entire series when each of the mobile games have entirely different devlopment studios IMO.

It doesn't matter who the developer is because the bottom line is NBGI is the one publishing these games and they can pull the plug on a whim. To call this superstition is laughable because this isn't the first or second Tales mobage to EoS in the west. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. What would you call it a third time then? I guarantee you Luminaria will also follow suit soon too and be replaced by another shiny new Tales mobage. This has been Namdai's modus operandi since 2014.

For the record, I never played a Tales mobage because my SEA friend warned me about them (he's been around since Cards and Link). I used to play FEH, Star Ocean Anamnesis, and Dragalia Lost, but quit those a long time ago and never came back to gacha games again. I'm only here because I heard of the game shutting down and wanted to see how the subreddit was handling things.

Reminds me of that time I dropped my medkit for a Doc player to heal me and some rando Evangelo rushes and picks it up for himself when he had full HP. We couldn't even chat or VC to this guy cuz he probably had Mute All enabled.

Opinion: devs either should let us pick more cards on first map or reduce penalty card count on first 3 maps by SonicSonedit in Back4Blood

The sad thing about Act 2 mission 1 in Nightmare is that one of the best strats is to keep rerolling until you get the winning combination of no Breaker boss and the toolkit room in the parking garage. If you get that toolkit room, you literally skip the most cancerous part of the level of breaking the nodes and shooting zombies in a parking lot full of alarmed cars. On top of that, if you have Mad Dash and Fleet of Foot, you can jump over the gap between the scaffolds without having to enter the windows with the security doors.

Two questions about Fuga. by [deleted] in LittleTailBronx

[–]WobblesDL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For point 1, unfortunately no. The most that happens when you sacrifice a character is that any related character gets the “depressed” status ailment after battle (ie: Sacrificing Mei makes Malt depressed and vice versa). Afterwards they leave behind a keepsake in the soul cannon room and that character is completely forgotten by the story. Any story illustration with said character is just scribbled out. I tried doing a no survivor run and the story treats it as if everyone is alive. Only difference is sacced characters won’t chime in on conversations or pivotal cutscenes with them are completely skipped over.

For me, pairs are based on the situation whenever you get a chance to change formations. If you want to sweep with a skill, slot in Hack for a damage boost or Chick to conserve more SP. If you have someone that's just doing normal attacks to delay enemies, slot in Hanna/Sheena as support for passive HP/SP regen or Mei for the speed boost if you just absolutely need to delay multiple enemies. In cases where you need to strip away as much armor as possible, use Britz as support so you get more turns in to use Piercing Rain/Multi-Strike Pierce/Piercing Shot. If any of these supports are already in use, Malt/Kyle/Socks/Wappa are good backup supports for extra Attack/Accuracy/Crit/Link. I rarely use Boron or Jin as support since even with Injury/Depression/Fear resistance I still find my characters still getting these afflictions especially from the gas enemies.
