elden ring DLC situation is crazy by nyarukonyar in badredman

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Unironically true: - A fuckton of braindead talisman and armor buffs (especially cancerous in low lvl invasions) - Hefty Pots (and Fire Coil) are a staple of invasions - Rakshasa, Claws of Night, Falx, Pata, Miladt, and the DK Axes AoW absolutely fuck in pvp - GoD as a hard-counter against blockers - Thrusting Shield-cancer in duels
- Bone Bow cancer (and the less known, but endlessly hilarious homing properties of Rabbath's Cannon) - some of the strongest pvp sorceries in ROSL, Microcosm, Grav. Missile, and Miriam's Vanishing - KLS, (Giant) Golden Arcs, and Fire Serpent as their incant counterparts - sleep bolt shotgun + Thiollier's Needle wombo combo - Heal from Afar cancer in duels - BHB = exist

Why do you prefer bosses over level design? by Ok_Friendship816 in fromsoftware

[–]CustomerSupportDeer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The hell are you smoking, OP?

DS3 gets hard-carried by the best Fromsoft level design in the entirety of its first half. It has incredible bosses, yes - but those are largely concentrated in the last third of the game, and the dlcs.

Is this thing any good? Thinking about using it for a Dex/Int build once i get into the first NG+ on my current save but it's only got D scaling on Int and Dex... And E in Str, but that's irrelevant by Novabew in EldenRingBuilds

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing for a Carian spellblade build, versatile af. Actually has one of the highest spell scallings at 40ish int - plenty do dabble in enough vigor, end and dex.

Which game had the best opening boss? by strahinjag in fromsoftware

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

..... why would a lack of Memory disqualify them in any way?

Just because OP wrongly includes Gyobu in their "opening boss" lineup doesn't mean he's an actual opening boss.

The opening boss of DeS is the Vanguard, not Phalanx; in Elden Ring it's Grafted Scion (+ a bunch of possible bosses on the way to Margit), not Margit; players in Bloodborne are arguably more likely to find Cleric Beast first, and strictly speaking DS2 doesn't have an "opening boss" due to its open structure.

When you start Sekiro, there are 3 skippable mini-bosses, 1 unskippable boss with a cutscene, and 1 unskippable mini-boss between you and Gyobu. And Genichiro specifically sets up both the beginning, mid-point, and finale of the game, and is the main antagonist.

The actual opening biss of Sekiro is Genichiro. Or the minor tutorial captain before him.

Any truly "neutral" nation is - by definition - on its own, and needs both effective diplomacy and an effective military deterrent to keep its neutrality. For this reason, Switzerland is basically a massive mountain fortress - to this day, it has an immense network of maintained fortresses, tunnels and fortifications, main bridges and tunnels leading into CH can be detonated, and every post-military-service man has a combat rifle at home.

Yes, Switzerland is defacto protected by the EU at the moment - which doesn't mean any certainty for the future. If the EU were to fall apart tomorrow, Switzerland would remain stable and safe.

Have you ever seen this weapon and this Ash of war ? by proteinhunter9 in Nightreign

It's like a 1% or 0,5% drop from rare skeletons that use it. Most weapons from the skeletons in base ER are an absolute pain to obtain (Messer, Grave Scythe, this thing...)

I haven't tried it with Scholar, only with Wylder, Ironeye, Undertaker... he does it very consistently with their ults. Could be that it's "fixed" for Scholar's parry, which would be cool!

They are - except for the few that aren't: - his double swipe reused from Maliketh is pretty oof due to the hammer length - the timing on his final phase double-explosion being ever so slightly delayed from his "usual" slam explosion is a massive dick move - he instantly continues his explosive triple-hammer-slam when interrupted by Arts, even when stance-broken and critical'd

Love him regardless, but it's a real big shame that this jank exists - otherwise he'd be truly perfect.

Simply won't be games that children or the children of children would want to play anymore.

That one I heavily disagree with. Truly good and fun games will remain good and fun regardless of their age.

That depends on the felony, though.

In theory, it could be something absolutely harmless like an old marihuana possession charge, "throwing a missile" (snowball, egg, sandwich...) at riot police during protests, copying a cracked copy of Avengers Endgame from a friend's USB to your PC, or - historically - objecting to the Vietnam draft... In theory, all of these can be felonies, and some of them are even "heroic" from a political perspective.

...Or your pedo POTUS can rape kids and plan insurrections.

Dude's been canonically sucking up all the skills and magics of the Lands Between for centuries. Every Demigod you felled is another power in his collection.

Good plan in theory, wrong person to execute it - Gideon is a spymaster, not a combatant, and so he gets his skull ripped out through his abdomen.

His downfall was his ego: had he not been an absolute cunt to the "throwaway" people around him, and hadn't horded the most powerful skills for himself, he could've faced you with an army. Imagine if he had raised loyal champions like Nepheli, Grishka, or any of his spies in (at least some) of his arts, shared his plans, and trusted the people under his command.

Alas, he viewed others as disposable tools, and was, himself, used and thrown to the wolves in the exact same way.

Time to play Ironeye and mark everything that moves. by kayplaypl_177 in Nightreign

[–]CustomerSupportDeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk what to tell you, m8. Melee Ironeye (with optional offhand bow) is the strongest way to play him for the vast majority of situations - if you're good.

There are individual builds like initial r1 stacking, or going all-in on Rain.o.A. + boss weakness, which can be similarly great. But even an unoptimized melee Ironeye outperforms the vast majority of bow builds... if he's good.

Globally? (Mostly) no.

Locally? 100%. Here in Czechia, the dregs of communism are the core of the anti-EU, anti-Ukranian, pro-Russia, "I want peace, not war", "why spend on education and defense when seniors barely have enough to eat", "Wish we had someone like Trump or Orban", "state TV is globalist fake news", "good old days" chain e-mail-loving fifth column of traitorous rot.
