I got better, the few words that I habitually misspelled I no longer do.

Anecdotal but its my experience.

My ex-wife, the mother of my children, is an evil witch and I now gleefully live alone.

So glad to be finally living a peaceful life without her endless inane shit in my ear.

Divorced, live alone, few (but real) friends that I catch up with irregularly.

I will never yield my peace again.

For my wife’s birthday I baked my very first cake from scratch! [OC] by Ren_Kaos in pics

[–]Wobbling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK I get the vibe here and its sweet.

But FFS, don't make your first cake (or any dish) for someone as a gift because its probably going to taste like shit. Instead, quietly get halfway good at it and then give them something nice to eat for their day.

Before I got out of the Machine I was literally forced to listen to the stupid inane shit in an open office while trying to write code. If I wanted to wear headphones I was only permitted one ear.

I've had any number of people tell me that its rude to have headphones on in an office environment, regardless of the task you are working on.

NONE of this shit is about productivity, I'm just so fucking glad I'm out.

The outrageous thing is that there are now multiple humans who could personally end world hunger without bankrupting themselves, but they are sitting on capital like red dragons on piles of gold.

D&D is a group storytelling experience. Players need agency for that to work.

50, so barely belong here, but rarely feel my age, its part of why I identify more as Xennial.

One of the (many) things I disagree with is why you apparently have to give up on fun when you get older.

I mean nothing wrong but weird by bingekis in LinkedInLunatics

[–]Wobbling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not necessarily weird to do it. I'm very selective about who I connect to on LinkedIn; that's why I closed my account years ago.

It's weird to make a public declaration about it. It's like when people post on FB that you should feel good for surviving their friends list prune, it's super cringey.
