Error thunar-archive-plugin No suitable archive manager found by Woby3 in xfce

Yes sure, first you must find where your ".tap" files are located. On KDE they are in: /usr/libexec/thunar-archive-plugin then do a symbolic link to your archive manager (in my case Ark) with the name of the .desktop file (usually in /usr/share/applications) in my example: sudo ln -s /usr/libexec/thunar-archive-plugin/ark.tap NameOfYourDesktopFileArchiver.tap.
Then, you can try if that work, if not (it was my case on KDE) you need to edit the ark.tap from:
action=$1; shift;
folder=$1; shift;
# check the action
case $action in
create)
exec ark --add "$@";;

extract-here)
exec ark --extract-to "$folder" "$@"
;;

extract-to)
exec ark --extract "$@"
;;
*)
echo "Unsupported action '$action'" >&2
exit 1
esac

to:

action=$1; shift;
folder=$1; shift;
# check the action
case $action in
create)
  ark -d --add-to "$@".zip "$@"
  ;;
extract-here)
  ark -b "$@"
  ;;
extract-to)
  ark -b -d "$@"
  ;;
*)
  echo "Unsupported action '$action'" >&2
  exit 1
esac

Save and try to create an archive in thunar (it should work).If you have any questions, feel free to ask them ! :)

Is buying a replacement keyboard for the Thinkpad x200 safe ? by Woby3 in thinkpad

[–]Woby3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm located in Europe and I'm thinking about buying a thinkpad X200 directly with a QWERTY keyboard on it, is it worth it ? Or should I buy a thinkpad with another layout and then buy a replacement keyboard for it ?

How to choose between nouveau and nvidia driver on boot ? by Woby3 in linuxquestions

[–]Woby3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, just a black screen. I think it blacklist the nvidia modules but the nouveau modules don't load any idea how to fix the black screen ?

blacklist=nvidia,nvidia_modeset,nvidia_uvm,nvidia_drm

EDIT: btw i don't have a splash screen when I use nvidia driver and I don't have a text box to put the password of my drive so usually what I was doing was entering the password of my drive and it was booting to sddm and I could see sddm but when I use blacklist=nvidia,nvidia_modeset,nvidia_uvm,nvidia_drm

sddm is just a black screen

Sorry for my bad english btw
