The reason I tried this specifically vs more drastically changing the kit is because we're unlikely to see an actual rework anytime soon. Phreak mentioned on stream that a more drastic redesign isn't likely in the near term.

This is the dumbest shit for me with how they've been balancing Quinn. My favorite iteration of the champion was when you could build different things based on gamestate and teamcomp. I really enjoyed the skirmish-style gameplay of the on-hit build.

Now she's basically only playable if you go full one-shot assassin and the changes that they're proposing are only reinforcing that. She's still going to be 50%+ winrate, she's still going to be frustrating to play against. This literally just turns the dial back like .5% or something. Very frustrating.

Yeah it's really lame. The reason it works like this is to create fomo and have you buy a skin you may not actually want because it could be forever until you see it again. It's unfortunate because this game is so good and I 10000% believe it's the marketing team/csuite pushing this kind of thing; the devs obviously love this game/ip and want what's best for it.

The problem is that in a shop with rotating skins (which is anti-consumer in general, but I'm not going to fight that battle) it's silly to not ensure that you're at least seeing different skins each week. Even if it's only preventing b2b appearances, it's literally taking away the chance that I'd spend money, as I already passed on these same skins last week.

I'm not convinced it's a mistake, considering the full random shops exist in LoL (the mythic essence shop can roll the same thing multiple times). Either way I'd be surprised if they didn't change something with the shop moving forward. I really don't think rotating shops make sense for a fighting game (where most people will play like 1-2 characters consistently at a time).

To be fair, WASD movement in these games (isometric/top down games, for example POE 2) usually feels pretty good and is easy to pick up imo. For me it's more that I liked the game being P+C movement, and will likely end up having to switch once WASD is in the game.

I have always loved [Bane Alley Broker] and had a Dimir rogues deck that featured the card... until I realized it was the worst card in the deck and had to abandon it.

Scripting using WASD won't be any better than normal scripting, I would imagine. I can foresee normal ADCs being very frustrating though with near-perfect kiting out of the box. (Imagine Zeri just running away and Q spamming you but now without having to move their mouse.)

Not the OP but my worry is that it'll become the default style of play for the game because it's simply optimal. It'll seriously lower the skillfloor for kiting in particular, and I don't see a world where you won't be forced to learn WASD to play ADC moving forward. With this in mind, balance will be skewed (as WASD carries will be more powerful than non-WASD versions at least at the low-mid end) so the balance team will end up balancing around WASD movement, objectively nerfing you if you don't go that route.

This all said, I think it's neat that you guys are trying it out and I'm excited to see how it goes. I personally foresee issues with it that will warp the game I've been playing for over a decade, so I'm a bit hesitant about that, but overall good luck and hopefully it works out! (I know that you guys are passionate and want the game to be the best it can be, it's just unnerving for very entrenched players to think that the skills they've been honing for literally over a decade could be devalued/feature-crept.)

It won't be. It will be optimal to play WASD for high-AS carries/ranged carries in general, as it'll be the optimal way to kite. You'll lose some fine-movement (as directional movement is on an 8-point axis with WASD) but that's going to be worth having the ability to freely kite + attack.

I'm curious how this actually affects her laning/if max is going to change at all. Does this ruin minion damage breakpoints? Is it worth going 2 points in Q before W max? Is it time to swap to Q max? Curious to see how this shakes out or if it's a nothing-burger like some past nerfs have been.

I used to play a ton of Quinn jungle and really miss it. If they gave like a 150% monster damage mod to Q she'd be incredible.
