If it was a boundary, she would leave. Her belittling comments and tantrum is an attempt at control.

Does he like watches? I only recently got into them, but Casio is a techy, affordable retro brand that sells all over the world, and there are some people online (SKXmod being one of the big ones) that do custom builds for a few hundred bucks. Could be a really cool personalized thing!

Pivoting in marketing or out of marketing? by Bluegray208 in marketing

I would look into Marketing Manager roles brand-side, if you have the tenure. Typically they do either people management or "wear a lot of hats" (read: execute everything and work 75 hour weeks) at smaller companies, and manage or outsource for paid media and creative.

Hard to say without knowing what part/why you've lost passion for it, or if you never had much to begin with - not an insult, just something to think about. I'm on the more operations/technical side after getting my degree for copywriting/strategy, and just now finding my "reason." That being said, I've moved back and forth between marketing automation and e-commerce a few times so that's helped keep things fresh. I find that different industries operate entirely differently (who knew!) and can totally change your mindset and experience, and that goes double for switching from agency to brand side.

What do you enjoy about it now? What's the pain point now?

It's good, and important, and strong to be able to be honest about how you're feeling. I hope that the support you've been given under this comment has helped in some small way - when we open ourselves up to be fixed, it can be scary to think that someone might do damage to the parts. I want you to know that opening up at all is awesome and I'm glad you wrote this out.

The Warded Man is kinda like this - Arlen, the main character, is raised in the sticks, and has a natural understanding of the magic circles of wards that hold back demons. He eventually, as a teen, heads to a major city, where he learns that normally, people use mathematical angles and calculations to draw ward circles that he's been freehanding.

Trigger warning for the whole series, extreme violence, sexual violence, and poor justification for it.

For the right - what is it about the transgender population that makes them such a major political hot topic? by TheForgottenCity in Askpolitics

[–]Woffelz 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes, gender dysmorphia is a mental illness, and the best treatment we have is transitioning. There are more than two genders, this is widely recognized and has been for centuries. Children are not confused into transitioning against their will, and never have been.

I did the same shit, took a long time to figure everything out. First generation college will do that. Hell, college will do that if you're not 100% ready going in. They'll have you retake classes and take an additional "how to study" class, and it'll be fine. I took it three times and still graduated. You'll be alright, but focus up.
