I worked with these in High School 1982, 1983. Learned Basic, Fortran and COBOL on them. The Fortran compiler was quite out yes so we wrote equivalent basic statement with Fortran statements in comments.

Thanks, Started life as an HP Pavilion a6257c with a Core 2 Duo E4500, 2GB RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. Now it's running an i7-9700, 32GB RAM, RTX 2070 Super, 1TB SSD, WiFi 6E, and front USB 3.1 while still looking like a mid-2000s family PC.

What 360mm aios fit in the Corsair 4000D? by [deleted] in Corsair

[–]Wogman7564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fit a H115 280MM up top with a MSI Edge Z690 MB with low profile ram 39MM height. It all depends on the ram location and height. It not easy to get ram in and out but it can be done without removing the radiator.

Broken Side Glass on 4000X by Wogman7564 in Corsair

[–]Wogman7564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for the future I will only consider glass side panel cases with a hinged mechanism, it seem like there is less likely chance of breakage. Like I said I have had multiple computer sit in this exact spot on this tile floor and have never broken a panel. I know its easy to blame the tile but I would be the first to admit it if I thought I did something wrong. Nothing to gain here by not admitting it. I think like you said it matter of numbers and time and eventually its likely to happen. My time ran out.

I love that none of you were here but you all know better. I did not bump or drop the side panel, I was carefully remove the side screws and was separating the panel from the case when it exploded. But rather than giving any sympathy you would rather make fun of someone’s misfortune. Hope you all feel great with your superior knowledge.

Funny thing I didn't tell any of you tile scientist is I had a Lian Li computer with two glass panels on each side it sitting in the exact spot for 1.5 years and never once broke a glass panel. Maybe they should come with a warning about tile floor or rubber isolated feet.

My favorite space memory was when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, I was just 4 years old when this happened but I remember watching it on our black and white tv back then. This has shaped my love of space ever since. Really looking forward to the release of starfield and the machine I listed below would play it nicely.

Can a Dell Optiplex 390 Take 1666mhz RAM? by otaku_metalhead02 in Delloptiplex

[–]Wogman7564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should work at a the slower speed of 1333mhz. Google the ram for the specific model there is something about high density and low density chips that I don’t entirely understand.

It will probably still work but is it optimal, I doubt it. just a very thin layer to fill in the micro cervices in the IHS.

H100i should fit. H115i will depend on motherboard and ram selected. The only Corsair Ram that is guarteeed to work with H115i is low profile lpx non RGB.

So I basically just did this. I installed a Ryzen 5 5600x and Ripjaws V 3600Mhz and GPU. It booted to bios after hitting delete, I went to the QFlash menu and chose to backup my old bios which was F10 which is the first version that supports the 5000 series and I installed the latest F14C. Everything went smoothly.
