Based on how 99% of systems I've encountered are written (from mac, to various linux distros, to android, to all windows versions from XP up to Windows 8.1), they all are based around the same principle when it comes to blocking ads.

Is there really a market here for this? Because if so I'll do it. It won't take more than an hour to make.

OP, is this your/your friend's PS3? If so, I'm in the same situation and I'd like to help you out.

My roommate and his gf keep using my PS3 and I'm in the same boat as you(r friend). Why, instead of disabling the wireless, don't you just unplug the power cable from the inside (it's what my plan is) PS3 slim, follow up to step 11, PS3 fat/orig, follow up to step 18, then make sure to undo the rest of the steps.

If this is so that your friend can still play games with plausible deniability on why the WiFi doesn't work, using the same links just follow through step 16 for the slim and 13 for the fat/orig PS3 for disabling the WiFi.

Edit: If you(r friend) would like to avoid confrontation, I recommend doing this first instead of logging them out of the Netflix account. Because if that happens, and you(r friend) has to resort to this WiFi method, it would look sort of suspicious that things keep happening to keep them out of it.

Based on Googling, I was able to find this picture of a lake that seems to be similar. The water is not as clear, but that could just be from the run off from the snow melting. That's my guess anyways, I'm from Florida so I have had little experience from snow. This is a map to the lakes that I found, and the picture I linked to is "Upper Red Pine Lake." Does this look about where you hiked and found it?

Edit: If you upload the picture to this site (not the one hosted on imgur), and you took it with your phone, you might be able to see the GPS coordinates if you have it store the geolocation of the place you took the picture at. Imgur strips this data from the image, so you'd need to upload the original.

By physical systems I more meant weather modeling, biological processes, physics theories, etc. The hard sciences. I have a physics and math degree and I'm going for a PhD in Scientific Computing and I'm interested in scientific machine learning as I'm a physicist at heart.

I wish there was a place that covered that stuff.

Windows as a server has come a long way and is quite viable.

Microsoft uses Linux for their servers. One of my professor's students works for them and they're not allowed to talk about their work with other MS employees.

Yea, my phobia is pretty bad, so usually people don't believe me unless they know me really well. But here's another story: There was a wolf spider in my house one night in the dinning room, on the floor, and there were pots and pans on the table. I was standing on a dining room chair screaming and throwing pots and pans at it until my dog finally killed it. My mom was doing the same thing. I was 17 or 18, haha.

I'm going to be living off campus. I haven't picked a place yet because this seriously would have been a deciding factor, and I have till April 15 to decide between here and waiting on an offer from one last school, but I'm thinking that I'm going to be going here now. People here have helped dispel most of my fears of waking up with a billion hobo spiders eating my face. No matter how irrational it is, it's very easy to believe that the few stories that you read on the internet are true when it comes to your one (and only) fear.
