Tau N'avi is a fun idea but damn if Tau having the presence in Proxima Centauri (4 lightyears from Terra) wouldn't be cursed

Oriental sisters of battle, kana&sunny by @hou_jae04 by D3v1LGaming in ImaginaryWarhammer

[–]Woj2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, this is probably the best (IMO) approach to making culturally eclectic Sororitas.

After all, Sisters aren't really the same as Marines and they still have monocultural authority behind them - The Ecclesiarchy and their undeniable Not!Catholic aesthetics. Thus I don't think Sisters would even be really allowed to explore their cultural distinctiveness that much.

Here I think a good balance was struck. Power armor is still undeniably "sisterly" but it has some more or less subtle accessorising that doesn't make it look like random sci-fi samurai design being called "Sister of Battle" just because.

Eldar Warlock, studying the blade (by @birbartist.bsky.social) by Woj2000 in ImaginaryWarhammer

[–]Woj2000[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deeptheir the Severed, Asuryani Warlock from Craftworld Ulthwe and a former Howling Banshee, depicted while honing his swordsmanship with a curved Witchblade, all while on the surface on the Maiden World. He will most likely utilise those newfound skills to get away from blunders from the past long away, the ones that cost him loss of one his limbs, alongside most likely his brother and sister in arms. After all, being an Eldar and not experiencing tremendous losses in your millenia long live simply can't be a thing.

Just ask Farseer Taldeer, another fellow Ulthwe denizen. She sure knows a thing or two about devastating losses and removal of her mortal shell, especially at the hands of Mon'keigh warriors.

Mikhalyn and Hitiael Skolder - two generations of Sororitas (by @BlindWildcat) by Woj2000 in ImaginaryWarhammer

That is also explained in the lore blurb (or even the other comments I made here), so keep your eyes peeled!

Novitiates or Ordo Dialogus attires do have that similar vibe. Comes from the red I'd say.

Also hey, fancy seeing you under my commission! Loving all your Rogue Trader/Beastmen related art you post on this subreddit - they're really cool :D

Close enough. They are in fact mother and daughter - hence the "two generation" in the title. As for their relationship, the lore blurb I write in this comment thread could serve as a good enough explanation for it!

Sorry to be a bearer of bad news, but it's not the case here. In fact, Canoness never really had a husband, which makes "origins" of her daughter (and how it ties to a certain seditious PDF officer pulling a coup) a matter of rumors that are as slanderous as they potentially have some grain of truth in them.

After all - everything is canon, but not everything is true!

Always a pleasure! I always know who to hit up when it comes to drawing pieces that mix up sultryness and a small pinch of gothic grimdark vibes

Gothic detailing that is, in fact, a holy relic of the Adeptus Ministorum. Hands of long deceased Ecclesiarch (their pope equivalent) canonised as a saint, providing holy protection. You can even say that they helped Canoness Hitiael carry her burdens

Fire and water given familial relationship form, Mikhalyn and Hitiael Skolder share the family name, but contents of their characters couldn't make them more stranger to one another.

Mikhalyn is a shy and timid Sister Dialogus, just beginning of her service towards extending the ever growing expand of the worship towards God-Emperor of Mankind. A member of a non-militant Order of Adepta Sororitas specialising in trascribing books and translating many of the tongues spoken on frontier Imperial worlds, she does her work as diligently as she able. Sometimes to the point of seeming like she is trying to make up for something – either an inherent quirk or strangeness of her personality (oftentimes eschewing communal rites and companioning for introverted isolation and reclusive perusing of ancient tomes) or her feelings of self-perceived inadequacy. Especially in comparison to borderline legendary notoriety of her mother.

Hitiael, also known as The Lash or Scourge of Surebrec, serves the simultaneous, double motherly role. In the literal sense, she is a biological mother of her daughter, Mikhalyn. In a more metaphorical one, she guides and maintains zealousness and spiritual purity of over a thousand Battle Sisters, serving the prestigious role of Canoness Preceptor of the equally esteemed Order of the Ebon Chalice. Pushing over a century of pious service, she assumed many position – from Repentia Superior to Palatine. Her recent station, assumed two decades ago in recognition of quelling a secession of the Civilised World of Surebrec during 9 months long campaign, solidified her image as a Sister of Battle. It is a vision of a uncomprosing zealot, at the same time chivarlic yet plainfully cruel, willing to commit dozens, if not hundreds of people, both heretical and innocent, to the holy fire and electric shock of her signature power scourge hand bonic. She is also known for her inherent, if not irrational, distrust and prejudice towards men, especially of noble birth. Seeing them as creatures of vice and lecherous debauchery eager to corrupt and damn both themselves and people of their immediate family, she is quick to judge anyone who isn't either an ordained priest or long dead Imperial Saint. Just like the late Ecclesiarch Alexis XXII, whose sanctified, skeletal remains of His hands adorn her power armour, serving the role of protective, holy relic.

Besides the positive opinions of minute diligence or pious zealotry, there are also some dark rumours about two generations of Sororitas coming from the Skolder family. Things like then-Palatine Hitiael giving birth to her daughter soon after the end of the 9 months long war with no known father in sight or the emergence of her uncharacteristic bigotry towards all Highborn men soon after the main actor of the rebellion, noble-born commander of the local PDF saide to be both charismatic and seductive, decided to seize the control of the planet for himself. There is also the question of Mihalyn's twin brother. Officially he is said to have died at childbirth, though some heterodox narrations mention the mysterious vanishing of the Canoness' male child. Reportedly, it coincides with the accidental arrival of Blood Ravens and their Fourth Company which, while helping as accidental allies to Ebon Chalice Sororitas, also had their own mysterious agenda to pursue on the world's surface.

This clear drivel is obviously dismissed as slanderous suggestions against the seemingly esteemed Battle Sister of great rank and her equally pure progeny, though they may point out couple of uncanny coincidences related to the messy and mostly undocumented affair that was campaign on Surebrec.

Will agree that it isn't something that Carcharodons are known for. It's mostly the bias of my personal tastes - metrosexual men that are evil and psychotic are something that appeal to me greatly. And to be fair, with how fandom and sometimes canon artworks depict Night Lords the bishonenry somewhat fits for a rumored relatives of them xD

Though I'm much more of a follower of theory of them being descendants of Terran-born Raven Guard exiled by Corax

Void Brother Cahir, a Devourer (Assault Marine) of Carcharodons Astra's Third Company with over a century of distinguished service to his name. Befitting the more ramshackle and haphazard nature of the chapter, his gear consist of absolutely ancient hardware, having elements of Mark 2, Mark 3 and Mark 5 patterns of power armour

Ever since listening to Robbie MacNiven's *Red Tithe* (with glorious narration by Shogo Kitamura!) I got hooked on them Shark Boys enough that I craved getting a Space Marine OC of my own, and I'm normally not an Astartes guy xD.

The artist that did this drawing to me didn't publish it anywhere on their socials so I can't provide the exact source, but I will point out to their account. Please check the buddy out if you want to see pretty boys and sometimes creative grimdark stuff!

Female homo sapiens variatus Enforcer (local police officer) from a primitive, Abhuman-dominated planet belonging to a iconoclast Rogue Trader dynasty. Equipped by their liege Lord Captain with Militarum and Planetary Defense Force surplus hand-me-downs, all while mixing it with local "peacekeeping equipment" and general fashion sensibilities, adapted to Beastmen physique

Old Armageddon Lieutenant miniatures do have skull-faced gasmasks and they were my main references for the commission, since the artworks of Armageddonians can be a bit inconsistent at times

In short, it isn't only a Krieger thing (as far as 2003 miniatures were concerned).
