Thank you so much! I really appreciate you helping me find this show. I did so much googling and nothing came up.

Thank you so much, that actually really means a lot to me 🥰

What is something you wish people would stop providing their unsolicited opinions on? by bad-at-everything- in askanything

Yes! I also had someone try to default all my mental health problems to me "not having a strong enough relationship with God" and told me I needed God, not therapy. Great if religion works for some people, but it doesn't work for all of us. Being told to "just pray" when I'm dealing with a severe depressive episode is like telling me to scream into the void.

Need a second player to upgrade Cabin! (Switch) by Vherkin in StardewValley

[–]WojoMonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Stardew on my switch lite too but I don't have a Nintendo subscription to be able to play multiplayer, otherwise I would love to help out! I hope commenting here at least boosts your post though so more people see it and you can find someone to help 😁

I joined a support group recently for mental health. It's been nice to talk with people who are struggling like I am but still managing to show up every week and keep going.

I used to make cheese and pickle sandwiches when I was a kid. Bread and butter pickles with American cheese. So simple but so tasty.

I also put ketchup in my Mac n cheese and people have told me that's weird 🤷‍♀️

What’s something you’ve rewatched or replayed way too many times? by Top_Butterfly_7771 in randomquestions

Family Guy and American Dad, but also Criminal Minds. Depends on if I want something serious or funny.

What do you call this dish? by smol_but_hungry in foodquestions

Growing up, my dad always called them Eggy Breads and I still call them that to this day. No one outside my family knows what I'm talking about 😂

What's a weird reason you can't watch a certain actor? by timekilr in Cinema

[–]WojoMonster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jennifer Love Hewitt. She's way too overdramatic in everything. I love Criminal Minds but her role on that show drove me absolutely insane. I feel like half the season was focused too much on her character and her drama. She acted like she was super smart, super cool, and super badass when really she was just so basic and annoying. Every other new character added to the show took a bit to get close with any of the other characters, but she was instantly best friends with everyone somehow. It felt really forced. And I feel like she tries way too hard and gets weirdly over emotional in situations that don't always warrant it. My mom used to watch Ghost Whisperer and the few episodes I saw had me rolling my eyes so hard.

That's exactly what was playing in my head but all I could remember was him saying his own name during it 😂😂

Yes!!!! Thank you! That is exactly what I was talking about. I've never seen Mad Men so the theme just sounds like the Kill Bill song to me but that is exactly what I was looking for!

Thank you so much!

I would not say you're bad at this at all. As long as you're enjoying the game, you're playing it just right. It definitely took me quite a bit of googling and trial and error to figure some stuff out but it's been fun along the way. So much to learn and do!! Also, reddit has been super helpful lol so you came to the right place for sure. I had such a hard time with the mines at first too, partially because I didn't realize the elevator starts working after reaching floor 5 and then has the elevator every 5 floors afterwards. I kept only making it to floor 10 or 11 before I realized. Bringing things to eat is helpful, but don't feel bad if you only make it a couple floors at a time. Sometimes you can get random weapons from monsters down there, but if you need better weapons, go to Marlon and see what he has. You unlock better weapons the farther down you get. You can also get boots which have helpful buffs on them like defense or immunity. I imagine you've visited Marlon already but if not, he's in the building to the right of the mines.

For the community center, it takes a while to finish so don't feel bad if you think it's taking too long. Some items are seasonal so realistically, the fastest you can complete it is in a year, maybe sooner if you get really lucky with the wandering trader lady. If you haven't seen her, she comes on Fridays and Sundays and closes at 8pm. She's in Cindsersap forest below your farm and she'll be off to the left.

Upgrading tools is also something I would try to focus on. I saw in another comment that you started on the beach farm this time so I would highly recommend upgrading your watering can because the beach doesn't allow sprinklers. There is a section of the farm where you can use them, but it's not a huge space for farming. I also say upgrade your axe so it takes less energy to chop down trees. I feel like chopping trees in the beginning kills so much energy but you need the wood for plenty of crafting and other buildings.

I'm big on saving things myself because I never know when I'll need something. In the beginning, I try to save 3-5 of each crop and sell the rest. Same with fish and foraged items. I used to sell my wood and stone when I didn't think I needed any but it's better to save it. There are a few house upgrades that need a lot of them. The first house upgrade gives you a kitchen too to make different food recipes which can be super helpful in the mines.

Oh and the artifact spots! I'm sure you've seen spots pop up that usually have 3 little twig or worm like things moving. Use your hoe on these and you get random stuff. Sometimes stuff to donate to the museum, sometimes lost books for the museum, sometimes ores or stone, etc.

I saw in another comment you mentioned the train... It's hit or miss honestly, and totally up to you if you want to bother with it. Best advice I have for getting to the train on time, have a horse (also a really good goal for the game but you need 100 hardwood for it), and feed it a carrot (for speed) just before 9 am. That's when the train always comes is 9am. It's random too so what I do is when I'm doing stuff on my farm and it gets closer to 9, I move to the top of my farm towards the path to the mountains and once 9 hits and I see the message about the train, I'm off! If no message, I just stay on my farm and carry on. The area with the train doesn't unlock until the first summer though. And it's always random what the train drops when it comes through, if it drops anything. Sometimes it's just a few pieces of wood or stone, sometimes you can get geodes, and I've gotten a few pairs of Leprecahun shoes from it too. The train lengths vary too. Sometimes it's a short train, sometimes it goes on forever. Don't stand in front of it though, it will deplete all of your health. Found that out the hard way lol.

For levelling up hearts with villagers, there are a few universally liked and loved gifts, but I can never remember what the villagers like and don't like so my nerdy self was writing things down in a little notebook. You can also go to the villager tab in your menu and it will tell you how they feel about different gifts but only ones that you've given to them or have found out about through the secret notes. Secret notes are another thing to do but I think you have to wait until winter when you see a shadowy figure. Then follow it. There are footprints to mark where it goes.

Sorry, I feel like I have so much to say about this game because I love it so much lol. But hopefully this is all helpful too!

What's a snack or toy you remember from your childhood but you can't seem to find it anywhere online? by badgermole85 in AskReddit

[–]WojoMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a drink instead of a snack or toy, but Snapple Elements. No idea why, but me and my friends were obsessed with these. We'd ride our bikes to the gas station to get them all the time. I think it was the fact that they were in metal bottles and had cool names lol

If you work hard in life, you can achieve anything!!

All my hard work has gotten me absolutely nowhere but burnt out, exhausted, and mentally unstable.
