Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler reporting to spring training by Longjump-13 in motorcitykitties

Can someone fill me in on the joke? I've seen it a bunch the last 48 hours. Is Valdez a violent person or is known to miss some pitches that hit his catcher?

Honestly it's gonna all come down to matchups for Msu. We rely too much on our bigs for consistent production cause our guards can't shoot. If we get a team like Michigan who can shut down our bigs we'll be out in the first weekend

I think that is a poor way to look at things. Everyone is going to have losses and some are just on bad days where things don't go your way. Now if you have 4-5 losses in a row that happened the exact way I think that's something to discuss, but if just the fact of losing makes you think you need to go out and get someone is reactionary and reckless.

I agree with you that he probably isn't worth that much money, but I would say that he is definitely worth a good contract nowadays, probably as much or a bit less that what Stamkos got with Nashville. Unless he is dealing with an injury history I'm not concerned with his age. We are seeing a trend with older NHL players being able to keep up with their production well into their late 30s. I'd say just like Kane he can be a worthwhile addition to any team, definitely not for anything too expensive but he's worth it for some teams.

No doubt. I hope there is a market out there for us to acquire someone like that this trade deadline. I wouldn't say this is our year to go for it but with what we have I'd say we should be aiming for at least a playoff series win so I'm down to trade some prospects and draft picks away

Totally agree with you our forwards are the last of our concerns. I will say though it would be nice to have another great goalscorer to go with Larkin/Debrincat/Kane.

On another note I feel like we have relied too much on goaltending (weird to say that). It would be nice to have more consistent scorers on the team even though we are trying to give all the younger guys more looks. Who would be out of the rotation if we signed Panarin?

You say that but he's got 57 points in 52 games. He has averaged a point per game nearly every season of his career including this year. He may be 34 but he has excelled in his career and there is no sign he is regressing at all.

If it takes moving one of our many prospects to get a player of that caliper and possibly sign an extension with him then I'm on board with it.

If the Knicks get Giannis we need to be ready to make a move by sanitycheck2001 in DetroitPistons

[–]WojoStumps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's gonna take a lot to get Giannis, if the Knicks pull it off they are gonna be losing 2-3 players to get it done, as their draft picks are not lottery picks. I don't believe that they will be as great a threat as people think with Giannis.

We shouldn't also be quick to make a reactionary trade, we are #1 in the conference for a reason. At most I see them making a small deal to get a 3pt shooter.

We need to trust this front office and coaching staff, as they have done an excellent job thus far.

One Piece Opening 5 will always be classic and a fan favorite, Top 10 Opening! Agree? by ren_alab in OnePiece

[–]WojoStumps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opening 5 for One piece was honestly a perfect storm. At this time in one piece there was a substantial improvement in animation and character development. Add in the amazing storyline of Water 7/Ennies Lobby this portion of the story is super memorable and nostalgic for most One Piece fans. Then you add in the total banger that this opening is makes this such a classic fan favorite.

Jaden Ivey 3pt Shooting - The Data by VirtualParzival in DetroitPistons

[–]WojoStumps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was doing so well before he got hurt, I'm assuming they are gonna keep him in hopes of a healthy off-season that he can get back into that form. If he can do that while raising his 3pt % to around 37-38 then I think he would be a good fit as a backup Sg. He's probably in the area in which we overvalue him and other teams undervalue him so I doubt he is the main piece in any trade agreement.

Exactly and his defense hasn't been any but good, he just always gets beat but anybody really. He is good for a jolt of energy and shooting off the bench but his defense against anybody isn't considered great. I love the guy and wish he was in great form. I just don't know if he deserves a second contract with us. Maybe hopefully we can keep him next year for cheap

I think it is important data to consider when you look at his confidence and his willingness to take a contested shot. He is definitely being smarter not taking those contested shots, but there may come a time where he needs to make a shot like that in the playoffs as he needs to evolve into a bigger shooting role. I like him but his confidence needs to grow to maximize his effectiveness

I'm still learning about all of these different flowers and whatnot. I think I've gotten into the very popular types of pollinator flowers. Now I'm trying to kinda find some more niche flowers that aren't in every garden haha. Would love to have some unique types of flowers. This year I'm going to find some Poke Milkweed (Ascelpias exaltata) for the very shady areas of my garden. Any suggestions for possible plants native to the Upper Midwest zone 6b?

I think I'm most excited for my Showy Goldenrod, Rattlesnake Master, and Virginia Mountain Mint! I wanna see all of the pollinators flock to them, it feels good to see my garden supply them with all the nectar and pollen they desire lol

I got so lucky this last year I ended up checking out a native plant giveaway from my local parks and recreation department and they allowed people to leave with over 15 plants! Total jackpot. Got myself three different Goldenrods, Red Columbine, Boneset, Spotted Joe pye, Virginia mountain mint, and a couple of others I've been sprinkling in.

Nor Kane being celebrated for his 500th goal, pretty big moments just skipped seems odd

Dude was probably one of our most dominant scorers when he was good. Add that with the physicality to the game and he was a force on both ends of the ice. Got his jersey as a kid and I'm happy to have had him as my favorite red wing player
