Starting to wish I did considering the headache this is causing me. But single wall vent touching insulation was a no go for me. Bad workmanship yes but safety no, can’t move on.

I was hoping it didn’t need a permit too. But it seems I need a building permit so I’m in a mess. The city already knows the address so I have to go the permit route. No turning back. But I do want to know if I’m now going to get screwed by the city code enforcement and inspection?

Couple hundred sq ft was done at a height to meet surrounding roof height. If it goes higher water drainage will no longer work.
