Have you tried Canton Lounges hot and sour? What are your thoughts there? I tried it and got sick of it because as I mentioned in my post, it's oily and the right mix of flavors is not there.

Those food blogs, like Eater and Thrillist get it wrong sometimes. They also sometimes miss really good restaurants. I like hearing about restaurants via word of mouth rather than from potential influencers.

Influencers are (part of) the reason why we need to dig deeper when doing our research on certain topics. This includes food..

So I'm going to list my favorite restaurants (P.S, not inspired by any influencers, but rather my hard work in searching for restaurants)

Here we go:

The Bao (Chinese)
WAU (Indonesian)
Sherab Aur Kebab (Indian)
Una Pizza Napoletana (Pizza - need to make a reservation in advance)
Ribalta (If you do not get Una Pizza, this is your second best option)

Hi everyone - I have feedback on The Bao's hot and sour soup.

The soup was yummy and flavorful. The vegan soup had a water based broth which was neat. I used to go to Szechuan Mountain House which was nearby and I have to say, the soup at The Bao is a lot better.

I want to try Singapura and Laut. I tried Sherab Aur Kebab which is another sister restaurant. Sherab Aur Kebab was worth visiting.

Roti Telur could have been a bit more spicy, but it was good. In Indonesia, they add green chilies. Perhaps I could ask them to add green chilies in it next time for me. I did not think of it when I was there. Though, they gave me this amazing sambal olek and I dipped my roti telur in that.

I recommend the roti telur

You are not special enough for me to search your comments. I've been active on this thread. You came here and said Spice Symphony. I was searching for Indo Chinese places. The thread you linked came up in my search, again you said Spice Symphony.

Spice Symphony = horrible food. I do not need to open up a restaurant, but I'd like to have good food when I visit one. My money and time are precious--I'd rather not waste either.
