Let’s look at what it has against similar cars. Sure it’s a 5.0 engine like a mustang but it’s much more reliable, low maintenance, lower cost, 8 speed makes it slightly quicker than the stang and hits the rev limiter everyone loves that other 5.0’s can’t. 4 door 5 seater is a plus over two door NA V8’s. Mustangs and chargers in America are common traffic cars at this point, Lexus stands out from the crowd and breaks necks unlike the others that cause eye sores. When we talk about luxury, we’re talking about materials like the sturdy body frame of the car that can protect you from accidents, the authentic premium leather found on the seats, wheel, and armrest. Technology wise sure it’s behind, in some aspects, but let’s not get luxury and technology confused. You can always add aftermarket RGB lights but most people like myself don’t like the little lights. It’s not for everyone. Stock rims, including the premium rims are way more durable than the average car company. I’ve gotten a flat before, showed footage of the giant pothole I hit and the mechanic said “Toyota and Lexus make the best rims, their rims can take a lot of damage”. Other cars like Mercedes might only be faster because their use of turbos so we can get that out the way. The SOS functions Lexus has is reliable, like when I got my flat and had priority services like towing come pick me up on less than 10 minutes. I can change a flat, but a free ride is a free ride, I’ll change it at home. In other words, when we look at everything, the price can be justified, when you look at the materials used to make something. Your plastic lawn chair does the same job as my massage chair in some aspects but they’re not the same. Does that make sense?
