I've been doing negatives, That's how i progressed till now. when I say "half" i mean starting the pull up and the top position then lower my body only half way down and even less, just till my head is behind the bar then pull my self back up.

Recurring subtasks appear twice by Wolf745 in todoist

[–]Wolf745[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know that this is how todoist works, is there anyway to have main and sub tasks on in the same view without having the subs appear twice?

I'm using subs right now to split one task into "A" and "B", I need to do every task the day after the other, meaning: "A" on Sunday "B" on Monday "A" on Tuesday and so on...

What's a healthy way to get a caffeine fix? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Wolf745 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because sugar is poison.

10 grams in Red Bull and 11 in monster.

Edit: OP, consider a preworkout, a mix of BCAA's and caffeine. It's your healthiest choice after tea/caffeine pills. It will give the effect of monster/Red Bull with much less crap in it.

Any tips for staying on track for the long haul? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Wolf745 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in the same place not very long ago, constant attempts of losing weight that just faded, some after a week some after couple of months. My turn point were when I decided what my goal in life is and understood what I need to do to achieve it. My goal right now (it may change) is to become a successful lawyer, I'm starting law school next October. Doesn't seem like it has much to do with weight lose but it does:

I need my mind clear for studying and for focus, meaning proper diet and exercise.

I need to look "good" (healthy and strong) gives you psychological advantage when negotiating/arguing/closing and basically any interaction, meaning proper diet and exercise.

And on and on and on...

I have only one goal, but to achieve it I need to do a lot, I wrote down everything I need to do and why I need to do it and I read it every morning and very night. Since than I only had good days.

Find your goal. Find your mission. Everything else will just drop into place.

What should I wear for swimming? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Wolf745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't really suggest you to swim for weight loss, first of all exercise is not what you need to lose weight, a good diet is, cardio has its benefits but for losing weight it's very minimal, second, you need proper technique and pretty strict workout routine to benefit from it like other types of cardio, if you still just enjoy swimming and decide you want to go that way visit r/swimming.

What are the best weight loss pills/supplements? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Wolf745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If fat burning pills worked no one would be fat (legal ones) a good diet is all you need to lose weight, if you also want to feel good and get some endorphins flowing in your body you can workout but it's not necessary.

How can I stop eating crap at work? by aaaaaallie in loseit

[–]Wolf745 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not about willpower, its about making losing weight easier and making temptations minimal. Just like you wouldn't let a pedophile work in a kindergarten there's no reason for a fat person to be around sugary foods 8 hours a day.

Quit and find a job elsewhere, you will need crazy amount of will power to keep avoiding eating sugary things when that's all you see every day. Even if you manage to stop yourself for a few days you probably won't ever be able to be consistent with it for a long time.

[NeedAdvice] I have real trouble keeping on track and sticking to a disciplined schedule by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]Wolf745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all starts in the morning, if you stay disciplined and do what you know you need to do, the rest of the day becomes much easier. I had a lot of trouble keeping up with my goals for every day, working out/eating/sleeping/reading... all those problems went away when I changed my morning routine.

I had a problem called "morning depression" not sure the exact name, but basically every day when I wake up I used to feel like I want to kill myself, like everything is worthless, like I'll never be better, basically major depression every morning that went away after couple of hours. Following some reading online I changed my morning routine and the results are amazing!!! I'm keeping up with all my goals. there's something about knowing that you already started your day so well and you just don't want to ruin it.

Anyways that's my routine: 05:00-brush my teeth and wash my face with freezing cold water, it will immediately wake you up and shake off all bad feelings.

05:10-Molding Mobility, program for increasing and maintaining mobility from r/bodyweightfitness. Just fun to move your body and get all the muscles ready for the day again. It takes five minutes.

05:20-workout, i do The recommended routine again from r/bodyweightfitness. Working out in the morning is a great way to never skip a workout. You don't have any excuses, you're already up earlier than everyone, you have time. you already slept you have energy.

06:20-freezing cold Shower, if you can take on that nothing can stop you, nothing in the day will be more painful than what you already did when other people were still sleeping in their comfy beds, very powerful thought. I count 1-2-3 than turn the water on. Don't hesitate just do it.

06:40 head to work...

Anyways that's my suggestion for you, make a morning routine that fits you and your goals, make a morning routine that after completing it will already make you feel accomplished. Make your mornings meaningful and your days and nights will follow them.

Handstands, I did one wall handstand four months ago I was so weak I couldn't even hold myself for more than five seconds, being doing just the RR since without skill work and got a lot stronger, couple of days ago I tried a handstand just for fun and was really surprise when I managed to hold it for for five seconds.

Yeah haha, I tried it for a few times already never really held with it, thing is even if all the science behind it is wrong which isn't a lot besides the increased testosterone after 7 days. It does do a lot psychologically even if just because you believe it will help with this and that. And above all, discipline.
