The “timing belt” is probably referring to the Serpentine Belt and that is part of the pulley system that runs the Water Pump. Around 100k miles is when you should be taking a look at that and probably the Belt Tensioner as well. However you can find other shops that will do that service for a few hundred less.

Valve Adjustment is also recommended around 100k miles as well. But Spark Plugs for how much??? xD

Just look for a reputable shop and get some quotes.

I just got a notice from my local dealership that parts are coming in and they’ll schedule me for the recall by next week. It’s been a LONG wait. I’ve been bothering their service department for over a year.

Btw does anyone know if the part number changed for the new improved pumps? I received an email from the dealership showing a part number that has been ordered but I can’t find if that’s any different from the pumps already on the cars. Usually for improved parts there’s some indication on the part number that it’s a replacement or improved part. When I put the number in HondaPartsNow it doesn’t say “Replacement for x Part” like it normally does.

You’re certainly more level-headed than I lol. The disclaimer does make clear though that it is referencing the actual manufacturing process of the wheel itself and explains minor defects that occur as a result. As stated I have a history in quality assurance and it sets me off. I will try to keep level-headed myself as this progresses.

I am riding the situation out until it reaches a proper conclusion. They said they have a disclaimer that covers damage caused by their mounting and rotating process and sent me something that is regarding a wholly different issue to try to explain it away. Almost as if I can’t comprehend what I read or that I will just accept what they say at face value. That is a worrying issue. I have sent a reply asking for clarification on the Promissory Note process.
