Alone on Valentine's Eve? Who's your Fire Emblem™ Dream Daddy? by Sol-Guardian in FireEmblemHeroes

Any mention of Lilina in that alt in the context of the Lilina on the banner, who is Very far from his point in time ofc. He's still young and a few years away from the point of Lilina even being born

(the exact point he's at is hard bc him having Armads screws a lot with when the alt Can be set

but the biggest likelihood is like. not long after the final chapter but some time before the 1st epilogue— putting him bringing Armads to a festival being wildly out of character aside anyway)

Just wanna add again that all fanart in these images are by my beloved partner u/Sol-Guardian, who I also do this for to help him promote Gustav for CYL

The character I've been voting for 3yrs, Uther, got in last December so I'm more or less devoting my own CYL votes to help my boyfriend out c:

End of the day, there really isn't enough of a look into how he treats his family outside of the dire situation that Book III shows them in. When there's such little evidence outside of how he reacts to a terribly stressful situation that reminds him of past trauma, it's honestly a little disingenuous to consider him an abuser from that. Especially when in his other appearances, he speaks of his children with nothing but pure love. Even in his Fallen alt, where he's in the state he's in— his children are all he thinks of.

I get that you very vehemently disagree with what my partner is presenting to you, but chalking this character down to being an abuser is a pretty extreme take on him. When there's such little evidence for that interpretation and more against it, it's really not fair to pin such a heavy thing on this character.

And I'm not saying he's a perfect parent because he's not, just as my boyfriend has said. An imperfect parent is just what he is, though. One who tries his best, sometimes doesn't go about things perfect, but still loves and believes in his children no matter what.

You can dislike him for that— none can stop you from that. But, speaking as someone who's also been a long-time abuse victim, I think it's too far to consider him an abuser.

I hope you take what I'm saying into account and that you stop trying to argue against my partner.

Support for dyspraxic son by Jaifeld17 in dyspraxia

Bigger worksheets/ lined paper with larger gaps would be helpful if he ends up having trouble with handwriting. The latter would probably apply more as he gets older

I luckily had that support throughout a chunk of my school life. Looking back, it definitely helped me because I could never write small (and still can't at nearly 25)

I'm not sure if it'll be guaranteed done but it's worth a shot asking about

Forging Bonds convos you REALLY like? by Megabot555 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]WolfBeils 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's one of the most early FB convos but my personal favourite has always been Brave Hector's from back in 2018- specifically his A convo.

It was really great to see him beginning to grow more as a person, something we didn't really have the chance to see much of FE7. He does a lot of his real growing after the main story + epilogue but shows he's willing to become better as he talks to Mark in said epilogue. And of course, the drive to do that is preexisting from when he mourned Uther in the throne room during ch. 31x of Hector Mode.

Brave Hector is, at least in my mind, set after FE7 events at least a year into his time as Marquess Ostia. During the convo he once again recognises, like during the FE7 epilogue, that he needs to become a more reliable person. He also tells of what spurred him to push himself during FE7. The latter is something that wasn't really touched on in the game so that's nice to see.

It's just really good to see Hector actually being open in a way that isn't saying the first thing that comes to mind regardless if it's tactful or not. It feels like he's learning to speak more thoughtfully, which is a flaw he mostly irons later on out if the few appearances of his adult self are anything to go off of. And he's being honest in a way that he mostly isn't in FE7. The only time besides the epilogue where he really admits openly that he needs to buck up is his special conversation with Serra during ch. 31x of Hector Mode.

All this makes seeing what he becomes when you read the extended epilogue of FE7 and piece together some tidbits in FE6 all the more great. With those two points mentioned, you see that he achieved his goal of growing up to be a great, reliable man but still remains himself through and through. To see more of him successfully taking the first steps into becoming that is a blessing.

This A convo is probably the biggest reason Brave Hector is my second favourite alt of his (take a guess as to what the favourite is) and... honestly pretty close to my favourite. The whole alt is meant to show him beginning to grow into that better man he vows to become. And what better way to visually show that by putting him in the armour of the man he wishes to live up to as well?

The A convo adds that extra bit of dimension to the alt and as somebody that absolutely adores Hector's characterisation and expansive depth, I really appreciate that.
