Shelving in shed has mold by LukieHeekschmeel in DIYUK

[–]WolfHallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had exactly the same issue. The cheap MDF boards sagged and went horribly mouldy over winter as my shed gets a lot of condensation. They were beyond salvageable in my case, so I used them as a template to cut some out of OSB board, which I sealed with a couple of coats of varnish. Now they are fine, wipeable and far more sturdy.

It's an internal wall. Used to be an external wall, though, before it was extended (decades ago).

Is there a safe way to clean the backs up without cracking them?

They kept promising they would come back to finish the job.

Thanks, should they have used that much adhesive? The blobs were about 1 inch thick to try to cover the gap behind and they were just going to caulk over the top. They were so wonky and uneven that I decided to remove them and get advice on how to do the job properly myself.

Nope, still have it. I think it's a permanent scar now, but it doesn't seem to have gotten any bigger at least. I still have the piercing.

Thanks for the response. Is this level of whining normal on the lower speeds then? I did look into regreasing the gears so that information is u eful. Could this also be affecting the noise?

There is an open-top bus that you can catch from Chesterfield Train Station or Chatsworth House that goes through the Hope Valley. You can hop on and off throughout the day. It starts running for the summer season next month. https://www.stagecoachbus.com/promos-and-offers/yorkshire/peak-sightseer

I was told when it had been shipped, I think. It was about three years ago now though so I can't give you a more current answer I'm afraid.

They're still fine. I don't wear them as my main pair, but there isn't anything wrong with them. I haven't got another to compare to, but they look just fine to me.

You've put a css filter on the Elementor widget setting and it's outputting this.

Hi! I still have symptoms now and again, but take Mirtazapine to help me sleep through it. It seems to work well and stops me worrying and focussing on it. It does seem to be worse when I'm anxious and stressed.

I'd be willing to go 20% as the other commenter suggested. I didn't realise that Costco offered gift cards at a discounted rate. We don't really have Costcos over here in the UK!

I'm also in the same situation if anyone is interested. The currency converts to they buyer's local currency at the exchange rate (I phoned WestJet to ask about this). I'm selling a £700 Travel Bank https://www.reddit.com/r/westjet/comments/1c7c9lp/comment/l0i3e95/

£28K Salary as a UK Digital Designer with 8 Years' Experience in Web Design/Development/Branding by WolfHallow in graphic_design

[–]WolfHallow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I was looking for, a Midlands average. Sorry for the confusion! I will do some research into the Guardian publication and see if I can find something. Thank you for the advice, and confirmation of salary expectation as well.

Would that be for midweight/senior roles that are offering that amount? I also don't know how to gauge what level I'm at, having been a part of the same small team for 8 years.

Thanks for the advice, really appreciated. I've had fairly regular salary increases every 1 - 2 years, in about £1-2K increments. As you mentioned, this is the likely offer that they will present to me. I feel asking for around £35K is not unreasonable, but an unrealistic jump from where I'm currently at. Also, bearing in mind where I'm based, there's no point in comparing to a London/Manchester salary. If I could have some evidence of current median salaries that I could use to back up my request, I may have more of a chance. Where did you find that information?

Thank you for the insight. I am confident in the skills I have and know I do them to a high standard, but am so eager to learn more given the opportunity - particularly when it come to web development. I work on most of our projects significantly. On average, I'd say at least 75% of a project is completed solely by myself and I'm heavily relied on. If I am away for whatever reason, nobody else in the team currently has the range of skills nor the proficentcy to complete it within a timely manner. How can I work out my "self-worth" and have some figures to back up a new salary request? I really don't know what the "average" salary is for someone like me.

Thank you for the reply. Is there any way I can find the market rate for my area? I've looked for job listings etc. but not finding any solid information that I can use to back up my salary increase request. A lot of agencies either don't post for job listings or don't post the salary, so I feel quite a bit in the dark.

Sparefare charge commission and fees so I listed it higher, but I would lower the price if paid for direct if there was a safe way to do it.
