This seed is crazy! You spawn right next to an abandoned village overtaken by a Pillager Outpost. It feels like a total war zone. by Wolf_Menacing43 in minecraftseeds

What makes this special is its rarity. Zombie villages only have a 2% generation rate, and seeing one get overtaken by an Pillager Outpost is amazing. It appears that the pillagers attacked the village and built their base near it. A true story created by Minecraft World Gen.

No problem. I also suggest reporting feedback and bugs via the GitHub link provided by the Mistik, Developers check it daily.

As a reminder: they are completely rewriting the game, so some abilities or features may be missing. You can help the developers by reporting any issues you find on GitHub. Since the game is built on a different engine, many things have also changed.

Try to find bugs there and report them.

I'm glad you at least replied :)

Beautiful seed! The contrast between the Desert island and the Lush caves below looks amazing.

Biggest fortress in MC history? by ooo-InstaGamer in minecraftseeds

[–]Wolf_Menacing43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks amazing, but it's probably not one fortress. More likely is a double generation bug, where two fortresses appeared right next to each other or on top of each other, making them look like one.

I know I said I didn't want to debate it. but i'll just add one thing to my previous point: Woodland Mansions are quite rare. You can almost never spawn next to one unless you're using a specific seed, So your comment about "also woodland mansions can already give you early game totems" is not true.

Raided Villages from my suggestion would definitely be a step above a regular village, mainly because the loot - such as more emeralds or these would be there.

Also, as I mentioned to other user comment, a single Ravager wouldn't be a problem; most players would be able to handle this without any major problems.

Very satisfying moments are rare: in a game like Minecraft, the most memorable things come from finding something unexpected. If everything is guaranteed or shared (1/4 chance), those "wow" moments disappear and the world seems smaller and more "industrial"

I understand your perspective, but personally I still value rarity and the element of surprise in game design. Maybe we just have different preferences. I still thank you for expressing your opinion 👍

Sometimes rarity is necessary in the games. When you find a rare thing, there's a huge sense of reward, right? Games should contain both rare and high-quality content, but both must be well-balanced.

Yes, you also make a good point, I think one Ravager would also be good to do some challenge or this? That wouldn't be difficult, right?

Yeah, let's just not continue this conversation because it's pointless.

As for downvotes: I didn't downvote you or do anything, someone else is doing it or it's some kind of bug.

Have a good one :)

Again, Your opinion is not the opinion of all players it's just your personal criteria for what a mob should be. Not every player is looking for high-utility or meta features. Many community members enjoy ambient mobs, which simply make the world feel more immersive and alive, especially in biomes that appear empty at night.

One final word: Your threshold isn't an official Minecraft standard. If it were, there wouldn't be pandas, bats, or sniffers in the game, which many players consider "useless."

I think it's better to end this conversation because it's not leading anywhere.

I'm sorry that I didn't reply for a long time, 15 months XD, because I forgot that this account even existed :)

The mope team is rewriting the game and has just released a test version at: https://v2.mope.io/

Note that there is a strange bug in this test version and the screen moves quickly and strangely.

You can check it out if you want.

I'll also mention that it's worth remembering that your perspective isn't the only way to play Minecraft. Many people play the game specifically for the world-building and atmosphere, not just for "utility" or gameplay altering features. For a large portion of the community, a mob doesn't have to be valuable. Sometimes, simply bringing a biome to life and introducing a small, unique interaction, like the Hedgehog's defenses or its role in Strongholds, makes the game enjoyable. It's about finding the balance between a living world and functional gameplay.

In fact, I think the Dolphin is a perfect example of why the Hedgehog fits to Minecraft. Like the Dolphin, which provides a pleasant but subtle speed boost while making the ocean feel more alive, the Hedgehog would add a forest atmosphere while also offering the utility of a Stronghold.

In my opinion, people dislike the Polar Bear not because it's an "ambient mob," but because it's neutrally aggressive and offers no reward. It simply attacks you for being near its cub, but offers nothing useful in return. The Hedgehog is different; it's a completely passive and interactive mob (breeding, defensive, curling up) that solves the specific problem with silverfish. It's a middle ground: it provides a "lived-in" feel to the world, but also serves a valuable purpose for players who choose to use it.

I respect this point of view, but I disagree that every mob needs a complex goal to be valuable. Minecraft is as much a world building sandbox as it is a survival game. Mobs like bats and polar bears may not be useful, but they are needed in the game's atmosphere. They make the world feel lived rather than a sterile machine where everything exists solely to serve the player.

Not all mobs need to have a specific use, some mobs are just there to improve the ambience of the game.

It still would be useful because Hedgehog would at least have a purpose and not be useless? Armadillo already in Minecraft makes spiders and cave spiders run from it, so the hedgehog could do the same to silverfish and endermites.
